"Dang, this had actually gotten a little dangerous" Michael wiped the built up sweat from his forehead after killing a walker that tried to sneak up on him from under a car.

A little further behind him is the mass herd of undead following after him with a pace similar to a person walking normally. Though there were some that were slightly faster and were moving at three to four miles per hour, similar to a person performing power walks.

"Hey!"

Michael yelled, further attracting the walker herd towards him and continued on his way through the streets of the small neighborhood. Though he tried to keep them all together, there were already tens of walkers that had already broken off from the herd because of something that attracted them, probably from animals or something else altogether.

While unbeknownst to him, three houses ahead, a woman was quietly watching him through a small slit on the curtain window from the second floor of a house.

"Fuck, what the heck is this guy doing? Is he crazy?" Rosie had been quietly looting the houses around the area when she noticed the increasing numbers of walkers around and had to flee to safety into the house. She witnessed this scene a short moment later and finally learned the reason behind the abnormal activity of the walkers in the area.

"Shit. Why now of all times?!" Rosie cursed under her breath. She's worried about Jose, but she can't get out because of the commotion happening on the streets that attracted almost every walker in the surrounding area.

"What's he trying to do though?" Though angered, she was also curious about the reason behind why the man on the street is doing such a crazy thing.

Rosie quietly watched him from the safety of the house and witnessed him killing a walker that tried to sneak up on him from under a car by kicking it on its head.

'This guy is dangerous. How the heck did he react to that so fast?' Rosie reached that assessment as she had already witnessed a lot of people that got taken down that way.

Those kinds of walkers are scariest for her since they will just suddenly pop out from out of nowhere.

'And he's crazy too.'

Rosie left the window and went over to the other one on the other side and looked towards a specific house down the road where she had left her nephew.

'I just hope Jose will stay put and won't do anything stupid while the herd passes through. Please God, look after him.' Rosie was incredibly worried and even prayed to God after a long time of not talking to Him.

'Wait, could this possibly be the walker herd around McNair County that's blocking the road to Houston?' Rosie thought before she went back to the other window and saw that Michael was just a couple of meters away from reaching the house she was hiding in. Still, with the undead herd closely trailing behind him.

She quietly watched the procession of the undead before she spotted a familiar walker among the herd. 'It's indeed them.'

A bloodied woman in skimpy clothes, a former companion of theirs.

On the other hand, while all of these are happening.

The kid Jose had woken up terrified to the sound of walker's moaning in chorus outside of the house he's in, and when he went over to look outside out of his curiosity. He became further horrified at the sight of the endless sea of walkers outside the window. His face slowly turned pale at the sight as he quickly hid under the bed. An idea his aunt had told him before when he's all by himself and danger was lurking nearby.

'Aunt Rosie, where are you? I'm scared.' Jose was on the verge of tears while covering his mouth with his hands, afraid that he might accidentally let out a sound and attract the walkers inside.

"Ummmph!"

The sound the walkers were making outside had started to constantly remind the boy of the scene where he had witnessed his mother being torn apart by walkers in front of him. Even so, he remained courageous. He just closed his eyes and started thinking of happy thoughts to distract himself.

"Hey!"

The man suddenly let out a shout that startled Rosie into closing the curtains, thinking that he must have noticed her.

'Damn, that scared me.'

While the aunt and nephew were worried about each other's well-being, Michael on the other hand was busy fending off the walkers coming from the direction of the houses in the neighborhood.

Ding! Ding! Ding..

Like a berserker, Michael launched seven successive strikes on seven different walkers.

He was panting and bloodied all over, like an ancient warrior of the past while sporting a mace as a weapon.

"Hooo..! This is even more tiring than getting laid." Michael let out a complaint when he felt some fatigue slowly settling in. Even with that, he still continued moving on ahead while letting out another yell to keep the herd to him.

"HEY!"

"Hmmm?"

With a hum, Michael quickly noticed something moving from the corner of his eye and immediately turned towards it.

He closely observed the window on the second floor of the house on the left side of the road where he had noticed the curtains moving earlier.

'Probably just the wind.' Michael was about to dismiss it and turn his attention back to the matters at hand when the curtain had started slowly moving to the side. Where an opening was just enough for someone to peek through the small the opening on the curtain.

The two gazes met for a couple of moments before the person hiding behind the curtains hurriedly closed it in a panic and Michael saw the curtain being pulled to a taut.

'A survivor? There's probably a group of survivors hiding inside that house. No, scratch that. It's probably a lone survivor or maybe there's two of them.' Michael wasn't surprised to see someone and even thought there must be a group of them holing up inside as they waited for the undead herd to pass through. But he quickly shelved the idea since if there was an adequate number of people hiding inside that house, then they would have taken the chance to escape instead of staying put.

Since accidents can happen while inside, like bumping on a glass or any kind of accident that might create some noise enough to attract the herd towards them. So, waiting for the undead herd to pass through while holing up inside can be quite dangerous than fleeing towards the opposite direction.

'I'll circle back around here later and see who these people are. Hopefully, they're good people. ' Michael made a mental note. Since it's not easy to bump into people these days, he is also hopeful about their dispositions.

Michael threw the matters of the survivors in the back of his mind and continued herding the walker herd.

While doing so, he kept a close eye on his Status Window and noticed that his Coins had finally broken past the 1100 marker.

Smack!

He had just taken the steps for the next 200 meters when he had realized something that made him smack his forehead.

"Kiting, it's freaking kiting. How could an avid gamer like me forget this one?" He thought out loud in anger, and when he turned to look behind him, his eyes started shining with money.

'Why should I herd them somewhere far away when I can just slowly kite them and farm them for EXP and Coins?!' Michael laughed inside as he turned around and started walking towards the undead herd with an increasing pace and a bold plan in mind.

Gripping his mace on his right hand, Micheal pulled out another sword from his back with his left hand.

"I'm going to be rich after this."

Michael let out a chuckle and finally came face to the face with the first wave of the undead herd.

Splat! Swoosh! Splat!

He started swinging his mace and sword from left to right as flesh and gory substances splattered everywhere

They splattered on his clothes, on the asphalt ground, or on its fellow undead compatriots.

He kept on killing and killing as death descended to the monsters from left to right.

While at the same time, he was also mindful of the steps he was taking so as to not get surrounded by them. He had to be extremely careful since they had already started to circle around him and Michael had to switch his strategy to a hit and run. He would swoop to attack before retreating. Though he preferred those walkers that are faster than the others.

Since currently, they are easier and safer to face.

As mentioned before, these walkers are those whose bodies are still relatively intact and still haven't deteriorated much under the purifying elements of the sun.

Though Michael was having the time of his life while in the midst of danger. There was someone who was feeling extremely anxious while watching the scene happening on the streets below.

Moments earlier, Rosie thought the man would finally be gone and was relieved that he didn't try to pull her into his crazy stunt.

Unfortunately, this feeling of relief quickly faded away when she saw him turning back and hurrying towards the herd with determined steps.

'He's..he's not trying to kill himself, right?' That's what she initially thought until she witnessed the following scenes below where Michael is actually doing it.

Killing those monsters with skillful maneuvers.

"Just..who is this guy?"
