Her mother's burial was successful.Ivy was forever grateful to the Deliverance Team and the members of the Charismatic group of St. Mary's Catholic Church for their financial assistance in giving her mother a befitting burial. Ivy herself was speechless at the turn out of event. She couldn't believe she would be able to bury her mother, she thought of the little money she has been saving to pay her tution fee for the next semester, it wouldn't even go halfway. She began questioning God, asking why such situation would knock on her door. She has been serving God wholeheartedly ever since she came to Lagos, attending church programme, doing works of charity, evangelizing, praying for people and now she was faced with her mother's death,a tragic death.Her coursemate introduced her to some men she could visit that can be of financial help to her but it was a matter of give and take but she declined vowing that she would rather die than sleep with anyone for money.Ivy prayed for grace to overcome this temptation and test.After two months of not attending church programme and mass on Sundays,one fateful morning after taking her bath,she went inside the house,got dressed and sat on the mat, staring into the wall lost in thought when suddenly she heard a voice calling her name and she jolted from the mat, looking around the room but she found no one.Since her mother's death,she has never heard from God,she felt He left her all by herself and she never attended church activities.Hearing the voice again her fear increased,she was shaking and sweating profusely then the voice assured her that He was with her and can never abandon her because she was his daughter.Then instantly peace came to her soul,it was as if a heavy burden was lifted up her chest,she sat down slowly on the mat and for the first time in months Ivy smiled from her heart,a hear warming smille. She was filled with joy that she could hear God's voice again."I have prepared those that will take care of your mother's burial and those that will take care of you,so you must not lose faith but be strong in me.Your mother's death was a test of trial to you and I will use you to achieve greater things beyond your imagination,so you must brace yourself because the battle ahead of you is more fiercely but I am with you in everything you do and everything you face and you must know that I love you so be of good cheer and you must return to the community of faith and continue worshipping with them and keep up with your good works of service to me and never forget that I love you"and silence returned to the room again. She shed tears of hope, indeed it was restored,her faith in God skyrocketed again.She attended prayer meeting the next day and all were surprised and happy to see her despite all that was said to make her begin attending programmes again but she wasn't convinced just as God has convinced her. After the burial at her hometown in Delta State, she walked to where her mother was buried and stood before it, tears welled in her eyes as she remembered the times she spent with her mother. "Mother, please rest in peace and you'll be forever remembered for all the motherly love you've shown me, all the advice and words of encouragement you gave me that have brought me this far, now I know that my coming to Lagos wasn't a coincidence, God wants me to come to Lagos because he wants to use me to achieve something great and to meet this wonderful people that God used to make your burial a success, and how far my spiritual life had been, it has only been God all through and bless his Name for everything he has been doing in my life.I will miss you so much mummy and I'll always love you, don't worry about Daddy and I , we'll be fine,he got a job as a driver to a very influential man Lagos and he even supported to the success of your burial and we are moving out of that one room apartment to a better one,God has been faithful as He has always been.So mummy rest in peace,Ivy loves you"The tears began flowing again as she turned to leave and saw her father with tears in his eyes,she hugged him as they went into the house.They spent three day in Delta State after her mother's burial and they went back to Lagos with the Charismatic Hummer bus.She testified to God's goodness and her mother's successful burial at the prayer meeting and all joined her in thanksgiving to God.A member of the Charismatic group sponsored Ivy tution fee for next semester and she didn't know when she began shedding tears.She returned to school and everyone was happy to see her,her coursemate and lecturers asked her of her wellbeing and her response was "It has only been God".She collected notes from her coursemate to update hers and met her lecturers who told her not to worry about the missing attendance and classes but to take the test with the others in a week time and the rest will be added up to her.After a month of returning from her mother's burial she and her father moved in to their new apartment,a room and parlor self-contain,still at Obalende and what made her happy was that the house was closer to church, instead of the 45 minutes walk to church,it was reduced to 15 minutes walk to church.She invited the members of the Deliverance Team to pray for the house of which they did,they sprinkled holy water and salt around the house and covered it with the blood of Jesus.Indeed God never fails.
