Morana's Point Of View
Nikolai's hand moved to the back of my neck, his lips brushing my temple. "I scare myself when it comes to you."
Something cracked inside me.
His words were like gasoline thrown into an already raging fire within me.
"You don't make me have a little taste of you and run from me, little vixen."
The low rasp of his voice sent a shiver down my spine. My fingers curled into his blazer unconsciously, as if my body had decided to betray me.
"What are you talking about?" I breathed, trying to inject steel into my voice but it came out more like a whisper laced with anticipation and fear.
Nikolai didn't smirk this time. His eyes were serious. Intense. Wild.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about," he said, voice low, almost reverent.
