His first stop was the universe of Earth-67, where Spider-Man 1967 resided. There, he met the first parallel universe Spider-Man.
Afterward, he continued his journey through time and space.
Eventually, he arrived at a universe extremely similar to his own — Earth-TRN1042.
In this world, there was also a Miguel O'Hara. However, this version of him was living a far more comfortable life. He was married, had a lovely daughter, and enjoyed a peaceful family life.
But an unexpected tragedy occurred.
Miguel O'Hara of Earth-TRN1042 was shot and killed by a thief during an accident.
Spider-Man 2099 stepped forward, taking on the responsibility of raising the late Miguel O'Hara's daughter.
However, his presence disrupted a "Canon Event."
What is a Canon Event?
It is a fixed point in the timeline of a certain universe. For example, in this world, Miguel O'Hara had to die, and his daughter had to become an orphan for this universe to continue existing.
Spider-Man 2099's actions erased the fixed point of Earth-TRN1042, triggering a chain reaction that shattered the entire universe and wiped out all its inhabitants — including his daughter!
After this incident, he was devastated and filled with guilt.
Determined to prevent similar occurrences, he began investigating the multiverse.
During his research, he discovered the Web of Life and Destiny — the predetermined timeline of Canon Events that belong to Spider heroes across the multiverse. These events cannot and must not be broken.
Any external interference that disrupts these fixed timelines would inevitably lead to the universe's destruction.
He also learned that the collider incident in Earth-1610 (Ultimate Universe) scattered many individuals into the wrong parallel universes, causing numerous anomalies.
For example, a radioactive spider that was supposed to bite Miles Morales in Earth-42 was accidentally transported to Earth-1610, where it bit the Miles Morales of that universe.
As a result, Earth-1610's Miles Morales became Spider-Man, while Earth-42's Miles Morales deviated from his originally destined life.
This caused many consequences.
One of them was the death of the Ultimate Spider-Man from Earth-1610.
To protect the multiverse, Spider-Man 2099 founded the Spider Society, recruiting many Spider-People from different universes to serve as members. Together, they eliminated anomalies and returned displaced individuals to their original universes.
So far, he had recruited nearly 100 Spider-People into the Spider Society, including the Scarlet Spider Ben Reilly from Earth-94B, Spider-Woman Jessica Drew from Earth-332, Spider-Woman Ashley Barton from Earth-807128, Wolf-Spider from Earth-1610, Superior Spider-Man from Earth-751263, and Spider-Rex from Earth-66, among many others.
During this process, he discovered Peter and his Time-Space Task Force's actions.
Although the Time-Space Task Force appeared to be doing similar work — capturing individuals who had mistakenly entered other universes and taking them away — their methods were far more reckless than the Spider Society's, which operated without affecting the world's natural flow.
To Spider-Man 2099, the Time-Space Task Force's actions were nothing short of open defiance against the Spider Society — multiversal terrorists and destroyers of the Web of Life and Destiny!
Outraged, Spider-Man 2099 issued a mission within the Spider Society to track down the Time-Space Task Force and capture its members — especially their leader, Peter!
However, despite the Spider Society's advanced 2099 technology, which allowed time-space travel and event tracing, they still struggled to locate the Time-Space Task Force.
They can even monitor multiple universes!
However, Spider-Man 2099 discovered that no matter what methods they used, they simply couldn't track down the members of the Transdimensional Task Force.
Just like their name suggests, "Transdimensional"—they transcend time and space.
Some might ask, "Wouldn't the Spider Society try to intercept them in advance?"
That would be wishful thinking.
How many multiverses exist across countless worlds?
Like the sands of the Ganges—innumerable.
Every quantum decision has the potential to give birth to a new multiverse.
To precisely corner a single person in such an unimaginably vast expanse, Spider-Man 2099 would need the ability to directly manipulate the Web of Life and Destiny.
Unfortunately, he doesn't have that power.
So, despite his frustration, all he could do was watch, time and again, as the Transdimensional Task Force slipped right past him—though in reality, they weren't even deliberately avoiding him. It was nothing more than Spider-Man 2099's own wishful thinking.
Until recently, in the world of a certain Spider-Man who had already joined the Spider Society, some unexpected visitors arrived.
They claimed to be members of the Transdimensional Task Force!
As a member of the Spider Society, that world's Spider-Man understood the consequences of a classic event being altered—his universe could be destroyed!
So, after discovering their presence, he carefully kept them occupied while secretly notifying Spider-Man 2099.
Spider-Man 2099 set off immediately, bringing along more than a dozen Spider-Men. After an intense battle, they finally subdued the three members of the Transdimensional Task Force and found a device on one of them that could be used to contact the "mastermind" behind the Task Force—Bide.
And that brings us to the present moment.
"Miguel O'Hara, we have never interfered with each other's affairs. What's the meaning of capturing my people?" Bide narrowed his eyes, staring at Spider-Man 2099 on the screen, a dangerous glint flashing in his gaze.
He didn't care whether he liked this character before traveling through dimensions.
What he liked were fictional characters—what did that have to do with the real world?
Fair is fair, right?
Besides, they even beat up his subordinates!
You don't just hit someone's dog without considering the owner!
Let alone when those subordinates were like family to him.
Behind Spider-Man 2099, three individuals were tightly bound by spider silk and surrounded by several Spider-Men.
These three were also official members of the Transdimensional Task Force.
The first one wore an entirely black suit with a massive golden spider emblem across his chest. His codename was "Bone Spider," a clone of Spider-Man from the Earth-12041 universe.
The second was a towering giant, five meters tall, but he too wore a Spider-Man-like suit. His codename was "Goliath Spider," also a clone of Spider-Man from Earth-12041.
The third had a black-and-white color scheme, resembling a ghostly figure. His codename was "Phantom Spider." Just like the other two, he also hailed from Earth-12041 and was one of that universe's Spider-Man clones.
These three were members of Bide's elite Spider-Slayer Squad within the Transdimensional Task Force.
