During the two weeks that Peter was in seclusion for training, intelligence gathering on this world did not fall behind.
After resting for a few days, Electro-Man took the initiative to handle the task.
Thanks to the advanced social media platforms of the modern world, collecting information on the Punisher Spider was relatively easy.
After all, the Punisher Spider was extremely active—his presence was no less prominent than that of other Spider-Men.
Nearly every day, posts, articles, and videos related to him could be found on Twitter and Feishu.
Notably, social media was also home to a mix of both fans and haters of the Punisher Spider, who constantly clashed in heated debates under related posts.
Recently, the most viral topic was the video titled "The Spider Punisher Eliminates the Sinister Six."
That day, someone managed to record his battle against the Sinister Six from a distance and uploaded it online.
Each member of the Sinister Six was a well-known criminal, all of whom had harmed civilians to varying degrees in the past.
Their deaths were met with widespread approval, with many cheering their demise.
Unexpectedly, this event also turned public opinion on the Punisher Spider in his favor.
In recent days, praise for him had become overwhelmingly dominant across the internet.
The loudest supporter among them was none other than J. Jonah Jameson, the owner of the Daily Bugle.
He had become the Punisher Spider's most fervent admirer, tirelessly promoting him every day.
If anyone dared to question him, he would pull out crime rate comparison charts from before and after the Punisher Spider's emergence in New York, using hard evidence to silence critics.
More often than not, this left his opponents speechless.
Thanks to Jameson's relentless efforts, the Punisher Spider's public approval was soaring.
However, the authorities were far from pleased.
The reason? His methods were brutal, often resulting in fatalities.
Though he only targeted criminals with extensive rap sheets, his blatant disregard for the law and his self-imposed role as judge, jury, and executioner made officials deeply resentful—perhaps even fearful.
After all, some among them were far from clean themselves.
They feared that if they continued to turn a blind eye, the Punisher Spider's sword of judgment might one day fall upon them.
As an outsider to this world, Electro-Man knew how to analyze information with a dialectical approach, pinpointing exactly what Peter needed.
And if he missed anything, Peter and Gwen would guide him accordingly.
Now, after compiling and reviewing all the gathered intel, Peter had roughly deduced that while the Punisher Spider shared traits with the Punisher, he was not an obsessive zealot incapable of tolerating any wrongdoing.
On the contrary, in many situations, he displayed a great deal of rationality.
For instance, his complete annihilation of the Sinister Six was a carefully planned operation. He didn't recklessly charge in at the mere sight of evil—he ensured he was fully prepared before making his move.
As for why it was called a total annihilation…
Aside from the four criminals that Peter and his team had witnessed dying firsthand, the other two were later confirmed to have been killed by the Punisher Spider as well.
Doctor Octopus's corpse was discovered the following day, impaled atop a church spire.
According to the autopsy, he had been killed by repeated shots from armor-piercing rounds.
These specialized rounds not only penetrated his prized mechanical tentacles but also tore through his armored suit, entering his body and obliterating several vital organs.
As for Sandman, his death occurred two days later.
The Punisher Spider tracked him down in a residential building, where an intense battle broke out.
In the end, the Punisher Spider incinerated Sandman with an incendiary grenade, turning him into glass before shattering him with a single punch.
With that, the Sinister Six became a thing of the past.
After spending nearly two weeks in this world and having sufficiently recovered, Peter finally decided it was time to move on to the next universe.
In theory, if he remained in one world and fully mastered his abilities, he could ultimately become the ultimate warrior—a being that wielded quantum energy, supreme magic, Vibranium armor, and a symbiote suit all at once.
He would become immensely powerful.
However, his abilities and origins destined him to constantly traverse different universes.
Though the Extraordinary Doctor Strange never explicitly stated it, his inherently out-of-place existence meant that staying in any world for just a moment was fine—it wouldn't disrupt the grand scheme of things.
But if he remained for too long or influenced a world too deeply, he risked drawing unwanted attention to that world, potentially bringing it to the brink of destruction!
Traveling through different worlds, growing stronger, all in preparation to face the formidable enemy that the Extraordinary Doctor Strange had warned him about—
This was Bide's path!
Before departing, Bide decided to meet with the Punisher Spider.
As the three of them emerged from the portal, they witnessed the Punisher Spider executing a man with a single shot to the head.
Their sudden arrival made the Punisher Spider pause just as he was about to leave.
"You don't seem surprised to see us?" Bide asked, a bit taken aback by the lack of reaction.
The Punisher Spider's gaze swept over the three of them before settling on Bide. A cold voice came from beneath his mask:
"I thought it would take you longer to find me."
"You already knew about us?" Bide questioned.
The Punisher Spider nodded. "Yeah, you've been tailing me these past few days, haven't you?"
His eyes landed on Electro.
Electro's face stiffened with embarrassment.
He had assumed he was stealthy enough, but clearly, he had been discovered long ago.
"So, who sent you?" the Punisher Spider asked. "Hogwarts? The Justice League?"
Bide: ?
It seemed that even the coldest version of Spider-Man couldn't escape his talkative nature.
Perhaps it was an inherent trait tied to the name Peter Parker.
"Actually, I'm here to invite you to join an organization," Bide stated directly, choosing not to hide his intentions.
However, after listening to Bide's explanation of the Temporal Task Force, the Punisher Spider showed little interest.
"There's still too much crime in this world. Until I've wiped it out completely, I have no intention of leaving for another."
Bide nodded, unfazed by the rejection.
After all, he had already anticipated this outcome before coming.
"In that case, I'll take my leave." With that, Bide turned to go. His purpose in this world had been fulfilled—there was no reason to stay any longer.
"Wait."
Bide stopped and turned. "Hmm?"
"Do you have a way for me to contact you?" the Punisher Spider asked. "I can't leave for long, but I wouldn't mind lending a hand every now and then."
His tone was cold, but his words were unexpectedly warm.
Bide smiled.
After a moment of thought, he stepped forward and extended his hand.
A special magical sigil appeared on the Punisher Spider's web-shooter.
"This contains my unique energy. If you activate the sigil, no matter which world I'm in, I'll sense it. Keep in touch."
"Keep in touch."
