"So, I can't eat him?" Gwen asked, a hint of disappointment in her voice.
Peter patted her head in consolation. "It's fine. There are plenty of symbiotes. If this one doesn't work out, we can just move on and wait for the next world."
"Hmph." Gwen puffed up her cheeks. "But I really want to eat him~"
Was this… the legendary sight of a fierce girl acting cute?
Peter's heart wavered for a moment.
No, no! Too risky.
Forcing himself to look away from Gwen, he cleared his throat. "Ahem, Gwen, this thing isn't for eating."
As the two bickered, none of them noticed that behind them, the quantum web cocoon that had been restraining the Vengeance Symbiote had suddenly ruptured!
And its target wasn't Dr. Lizard, whom it had previously bonded with, nor was it Venom-Spider Gwen, whom it craved. Instead, it went straight for Peter!
The symbiote's unique abilities were now on full display!
It could evade Spider-Sense—to some extent!
However, Gwen, who also possessed a symbiote, reacted first!
"Behind you!" she shouted in alarm, lunging toward Peter.
But the Vengeance Symbiote twisted midair, instantly transforming into a puddle of liquid, slipping right beneath Gwen's waist!
Peter had only just begun to react.
But in that instant, the Vengeance Symbiote had already latched onto his back and was rapidly invading his body.
At the same time, a manic voice echoed in Peter's mind.
"Hahaha! This body is powerful—merge with me! Let's become one! Together, we will wield supreme power! We will rule this world!"
"Who are you?" Peter asked calmly, unfazed by the changes in his body.
"Me? I am the King of Vengeance! Because I was born to be king!" the Vengeance Symbiote declared wildly as it accelerated its invasion.
If someone could see inside Peter's body at this moment, they would witness countless black liquid-like tendrils rapidly spreading through his bloodstream, extending to his muscles, organs—even his nervous system—threatening to engulf him entirely.
Standing nearby, Gwen watched anxiously, already clad in her Venom suit.
At Peter's command, she would act immediately.
But Peter had already signaled her to stand down, so she had no choice but to wait patiently.
Meanwhile, Dr. Lizard, after his initial shock, instinctively distanced himself from Peter.
Having suffered under the Vengeance Symbiote before, he now harbored a deep-seated fear of it. The last thing he wanted was to be entangled with it again.
Yet, he did not flee. Instead, he silently observed, waiting for what would happen next.
If both of these Spider-Men from parallel universes were consumed, then an entity far more terrifying than Carnage-Spider would be born.
At that point, the world might truly be doomed.
But Dr. Lizard no longer cared.
If the world was ending, so be it.
He had nothing left to lose anyway.
"The King of Vengeance, huh?" Peter smirked coldly.
"That's right! Gahaha—wait… Why aren't you under my control?" The Vengeance Symbiote's arrogant laughter abruptly turned into shock.
Of course, Peter wasn't going to be controlled.
In other words, without Peter's cooperation, the Vengeful Symbiote would never have been able to invade his body at all!
After all, Peter's entire body was infused with quantum energy.
This meant he could unleash quantum stingers anywhere on his body at any time—
Even inside his own body!
The Vengeful Symbiote thought it had secured victory, but in reality, it had only plunged itself into an inescapable trap.
The more it attempted to "merge" with Peter's body, the closer its chances of escape dwindled to zero.
And now, that chance had completely disappeared!
As for the purpose behind this...
There wasn't one at first.
The Vengeful Symbiote's sudden attack had bypassed his Spider-Sense, catching him completely off guard.
However, the moment it made contact with his body, he instantly reacted.
In fact, he could have used the quantum energy in his back to kill the Vengeful Symbiote right then and there.
But just as he was about to act, a new thought struck him.
A thought that had taken root back in the 616 film universe—
Since quantum energy was the most mysterious of all energies, a fundamental unit that could not be further divided, could part of the quantum energy he controlled be used for healing?
Was there a way to alter the very existence of a substance at the most microscopic level?
From Black Panther's use of quantum energy to heal his own ailments, it was clear that Peter's idea had great potential.
Unfortunately, Peter was neither a physicist nor a biologist, let alone a clinical medical expert, so these ideas seemed somewhat beyond his reach.
But while he wasn't any of those things, he did have something no one else had—
Mastery over quantum energy!
And now, the perfect test subject had presented itself right before him—
The Vengeful Symbiote!
If he wanted to do it, he would do it.
In the midst of the symbiote's terror, countless streams of quantum energy engulfed it.
The Vengeful Symbiote, which had been rampaging through Peter's body as if it were on the verge of completely taking control, suddenly found its space compressed within mere breaths.
At that moment, it didn't shrink into a single point but instead unraveled into countless "threads."
Every vein and nerve in Peter's body now had an extra black thread running through it.
These black threads were tightly wrapped in quantum energy, completely immobilized.
Then, the quantum energy began its merciless experiments on the symbiote's black threads—devoid of any concern for symbiotic survival.
"Hey! Look at this, guys! I found something interesting. There's a wild Vengeful Symbiote thread here. Let's try catching it. One symbiote thread should be enough for a single study. Got it! I caught it!"
"Alright, now let me slowly inject quantum energy into its body."
Boom!
The symbiote thread couldn't withstand the pressure and burst apart, then was expelled from Peter's body, wrapped in quantum energy.
"What a shame! Looks like we'll have to find the next one."
And so, the Vengeful Symbiote's body grew smaller and smaller.
Yet, there was nothing it could do.
It tried every possible means of resistance, but it couldn't even break free from its restraints.
At this moment, Peter held the knife, while the symbiote was nothing more than meat on the chopping board.
The results were promising.
Through Peter's relentless experimentation, he had finally made a breakthrough!
He opened his eyes and exhaled a deep breath.
His face showed signs of exhaustion, but his bright eyes gleamed with excitement!
