Chapter 3 - WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME

The door closed behind her, and Ji-Hyun's thoughts swirled in frustration...as she lifted her head up looking at the ceiling...

His is so unbelievable,

She muttered to herself, still panting from the sudden turn of events. Her eyes darted around the unfamiliar room, but every direction seemed to lead to more uncertainty.

"I know he knew I will be stranded out here?...", her hand instinctively reached for the door handle. She hesitated, her fingers hovering above the cool metal,"No," she whispered holding back.

Just then, the door swung wide open, and Ji-hyun's breath caught in her throat. He stood before her, his ethereal beauty leaving her speechless.

His raven-dark hair was damp, with droplets of water glistening like diamonds in the soft light. The water dripped slowly from his hair, down his chiseled face, and onto his broad shoulders. His eyes seemed to gleam with mischief, and his full lips curled into a sly smile.

His white, unbuttoned shirt revealing his tantalizing glimpse of his chest. His skin was smooth, with a subtle sheen that hinted at his recent bath. A black snake tattoo coiled around his left pectoral. His eyes locked onto Ji-hyun's, and he bit his lower lip, his gaze burning with a devilish intensity.

Ji-hyun's mouth opened slightly, her lips parting with a silent gasp. She felt like she was drowning in the depth of his eyes, unable to look away from the raw, masculine power that radiated from him.

"Go take a shower... you stink," his vioce low and husky, those words sent a flush of embarrassment to Ji-hyun's cheeks. She felt her face burn with humiliation, her eyes fixed on his, unable to look away.

He leaned in closer, his head dipping down to her ear. Ji-hyun's heart racing with fear when his warm breath danced across her skin.

"Remember to make it to the dining room quickly," he whispered, his voice a gentle caress against her earlobe.

Ji-hyun's mind reeled, her thought tangled in a sudden web of confusion.

"Bu... But...", without letting her complete her words, he interrupted.

"Don't worry..." he said, his voice smooth as silk,

"...I have everything covered. The maids will direct you there..."

As he spoke, his lips brushed against her ear, sending a jolt of electricity through her body. Ji-hyun's eyes fluttered close, her sense overwhelmed with the proximity of his fragrance, the warmth of his breath, and the gentle pressure of his lips. She felt like she was melting into his touch, dissolving into a pool of helpless desire...

She quickly walked into the room as she shut the door behind her, her back rest opon the hard wooden door...

" Arrrrrgh... what's wrong with me!!"

"Ji-hyun you have to put yourself together," her breath heavy,as she slowly placed her hands on her chest,

She stood there, lost in thoughts, her hands began to move of their own accord, reaching behind her to unzip the delicate lace of her wedding gown. The sound of the zipper was like a gentle whisper, and the cloth seemed to fall away from her body like a petal unfolding from a flower.

As the gown pooled at her feet, Ji-hyun's fair, tender skin was exposed to the cool air, leaving her feeling vulnerable yet strangely liberated. She stood there, frozen in time, her heart still racing from the encounter with the mysterious stranger.

Ji-hyun stepped into the bathroom, the soft glow of the light enveloped her, casting a warm ambiance over the sleek, modern space. She felt a sense of relief wash over her as she closed the door behind her, shutting out the intensity of the encounter with the stranger.

Her eyes drifted to the large, walk- in shower, and she felt a overwhelming desire to wash away the tension and uncertainty that had been building up inside her. She reached out to turn on the faucet, and the sound of rushing water filled the air, like soothing melody.

As she stepped under the warm spray, Ji-hyun felt her muscles relax, her skin drinking in the warmth of the water. The sensation was like a gentle caress, soothing away the stress and anxiety that have been plaguing her.

"Ah - this feels so good," she sighed, letting the water wash over her. She closed her eyes, feeling the thoughts begin to untangle.

The warmth seeped deep into her bones.

Surrounded with the misty veil of the shower, Ji-hyun felt a sense of tranquility all over her body, like a balm to her frazzled nerves. The water continued to cascade down her skin, a soothing serenade that seemed to all her worries. She breathed deeply, feeling her heart rate slow, and her senses come alive.

"Okay, Ji-hyun, get a grip," she told herself, trying to shake of her lingering thoughts. "You are not going to let him get under your skin, I mean, you just rejected him"

Just as she was starting to relax, Ji-hyun heard a soft knock at the door. "Ma'am?" a gentle voice called out.

Ji-hyun turned off the water and stepped out of the shower, wrapping herself in a plush towel." Come in," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

The door opened, and a soft-spoken maid entered, carrying a tray laden with fresh towels, a hair dryer, and a selection of luxurious toiletries. " Ma'am, I brought you some fresh towels and toiletries," the maid said, setting the tray down on a counter. "Dinner will be served shortly. Shall I help you get ready?"...
