Chapter 143- Unnecessary Questions
Logan POV
He didn't even flinch. "Because I thought you would confess," he said simply. "I thought maybe you'd admit that you brought someone into this house to have sex."
"But you won't," he added, his voice dropping lower. "Even though I know you did."
"Then go and find them!" I snapped, no longer pretending to be calm. "Since you're so sure someone's in the house, go look for them yourself! It's not that hard."
He shook his head slowly. "Logan, trust me. I don't want to find out myself. Because if I do? That trust between us?" He paused. "It's done."
He leaned closer. "That's why I'd prefer if you told me. Be honest with me, son. Let's build trust here."
I rolled my eyes so hard, I thought they were going to fall out of my skull. This man. Always trying to act like he's some wise counselor.
You want honesty?
Fine.
You'll get it.
But it won't be the truth.
"If it's honesty you want, then so be it," I said with a straight face.
