That morning, the sun shone warmly, piercing through the curtains of Odel's new apartment, which was still empty in some corners. Emilio and Daffin arrived earlier than she had expected. They brought plenty of boxes and shopping bags filled with household necessities. Odel opened the door with a tired face, but a slight smile appeared when she saw the two vampires carrying so many items.
"Welcome to our new headquarters!" exclaimed Daffin, lifting a rolled-up carpet nearly twice his height.
"Whose headquarters? "This is Odel's apartment," Emilio cut in, grinning while carrying a rice cooker and a box full of kitchen spices.
