Enzo bobbed his head at his request. "Of course, uncle," he replied, turning to Adeline and extending his hand. His voice dropped to a low, affectionate tone as he said, "Let's go, my love."
Adeline inwardly cringed but maintained her smile. She placed her hand on his, allowing him to lead her toward the hallway. The elevator doors slid open, and the two stepped inside. As soon as the doors closed, boredom etched itself across Enzo's features. He propped himself against the elevator wall, his arms crossed nonchalantly across his chest, while Adeline stood in front of him, her hands formed into tight fists.
