Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4.1

It had been two weeks since Halios' arrival in this new world, and within that time, an unexpected bond had formed between him and his caregiver, Helia. The room where they spent their days was now filled with the echoes of their shared stories and laughter, creating a sense of warmth that had become an integral part of Halios' new life.

Chapter 4.1: Ties that Babble

The days unfolded with the playful interactions between Halios and Helia. The baby stories she read to him came alive in his mind, accompanied by her animated gestures and colorful expressions. Her tales ranged from heroic adventures to mischievous gnomes, and Halios found himself captivated by her storytelling prowess.

Helia's endless tales never overwhelmed him; instead, they served as a source of entertainment that he could enjoy without the pressures of his previous world. But among all the stories, there was one particular incident that stood out and became an unforgettable comical memory.

One day, as Helia left the window open to allow the fresh breeze to sweep through the room, a curious bird ventured inside, fluttering its wings in a panicked frenzy. Helia's initial reaction was to shoo the bird away with a broom, but her efforts only seemed to agitate the creature further, causing it to fight and peck at the broom. Amidst the chaos, Halios could only babble and giggle, unintentionally creating a comedic scene as he observed Helia's comical attempts to usher the bird out.

Halios found feeding time, his favorite part of the day. Oddly enough, the baby foods that Helia brought to him in the baby bottle held a hint of familiarity. They tasted strangely reminiscent of foods from his previous life. It was during a conversation with Halios that Helia shed light on this peculiar aspect.

"Did you notice the taste of the baby food?" Helia asked, a mischievous glint in her eye.

Halios blinked, surprised by the question. "Goooo gbluh(Well, yes)'" he replied with a nod. "Gbuh bluur gooo, plah(They taste surprisingly delicious, like some of the foods I used to enjoy)." His attempt to speak only resulted in gurgles, babbling and jagons which Helia never failed to find cute.

Helia's smile widened.

"That's Mel's magic at work," she explained. "He enchanted the baby food, making it taste like whatever the person eating it desires. It's not just about nutrition; it's about ensuring that even the youngest ones among us can enjoy their meals."

Halios chuckled, a sense of amusement filling him as he imagined a wizard with a tall hat, casting spells on baby food. It was a lighthearted revelation that added another layer of enchantment to his new life.

As the days passed, the bond between Halios and Helia grew stronger, infused with shared laughter, gurgles, stories, and even moments of comedic relief. In the midst of this newfound connection, Halios found himself discovering the beauty of simplicity and the joy of being present in the moment, all while basking in the comedic charms of his nanny and the enchanting magic that surrounded him.
