Silence followed that declaration and for a minute, Liam was afraid that he would be asked too many questions.
But instead of skiing questions, Lucas let out a short laugh.
"You? Studying magic? Now that's something I never expected. Ah well, but I guess every Warden has this time in his life. Just don't be too disappointed if you are not able to use magic."
Liam frowned before he answered.
"Don't worry. I have no interest in magic. I just want more knowledge about it."
He lied as smoothly as he spoke but Lucas did not look convinced with his words. Still, the older decided to give Liam one last piece of advice.
"No, I did not think that. I was just worried about you. Especially since… That place isn't exactly beginner-friendly. The scholars there are pretty uptight, and they don't take kindly to outsiders. They believe that magic should be kept within certain circles."
Lucas warned.
Liam's lips pressed into a thin line.
