"Cool, you've already kicked out four people." Umbra commented, floating lazily in the air next to Kael, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "How do you feel, my dear destroyer of futures?"
Kael didn't slow down. "Fuck off." He muttered, with no patience for the shadow's provocations.
Umbra just laughed, clearly pleased. "Ah, always so affectionate."
Beside him, Amelia walked in silence, her face slightly frowning in thought. They were on their way to their second lesson of the day, and all the chaos had happened during the break between lessons.
Kael noticed her distant expression and raised an eyebrow. "Are you okay?"
She blinked, coming out of her momentary trance. "Hm?... Ah... sorry." Her voice came out a little distracted before returning to normal. "I'm just thinking about those two."
Kael tilted his head slightly. "Arthur and Elizabeth?"
