The ceremony finally came to an end, and the large amphitheater gradually began to empty. Some students were still murmuring about Altharion's speech, while others were discussing the professors being presented. Kael, however, didn't care about the surrounding conversations. He was more focused on the principal's final words.
"Those who fail... will be forgotten."
A warning? A threat? It didn't matter. He already knew how this kind of place worked. Anyone who couldn't keep up would be crushed.
Amelia, beside him, let out a tired sigh as they walked back to the penthouse. "That speech was more intimidating than motivating..."
Kael just shrugged. "He just told the truth. This place is not for the faint-hearted."
She frowned, but didn't reply.
When they reached the dormitory, Amelia went straight to her bed, throwing herself on the soft mattress and sinking into it. "I just want to sleep after all this..."
Kael, on the other hand, had other plans.
