"That seal you made," Zara said, her voice low. "Are you sure it's holding?"
"I reinforced it, and I made sure to double-check," Nova said quietly. "I sealed it with something new and much stronger than the previous seal it had; this does not feel right."
He didn't elaborate on the new talent—he hadn't had the time to understand it yet fully. But it was powerful; that much he knew. It allowed him to merge his magic with the shard and create temporary, adaptive bindings capable of restraining unstable anomalies—like rift energies or corrupted mana forms. It could evolve depending on the threat, and he intended to work on it all. He needed to get stronger, but he also needed time to train.
