The Alpha moved But so did Elvira. She vanished again. "Accel Tempest!"
She reappeared above him, already casting another spell. "Arcane Implosion!"
A sphere of pure destruction formed in her palm—She hurled it straight down.
BOOOOOOM!
The explosion swallowed the battlefield whole.
Dust and debris shot into the air, blotting out the light. The shockwave ripped through the ruins, sending chunks of stone flying.
But Elvira wasn't done. She stretched a hand toward the cloud of destruction, mana surging in her veins. "Come on, ugly. I know you're still in there."
The dust settled. The Alpha stood in the crater. Its body warped, shifting into something leaner, sharper—its exoskeleton now laced with the very magic it had consumed.
Elvira's pulse pounded.
Then the Alpha vanished. A claw rushed for her throat, She barely dodged.
A second claw slashed for her ribs—She threw up a barrier.
