We had to keep moving or those people were going to get us.
That's what we did, we moved through the collapsed building, legs weaving through the bushes, the taller ones clinging to our shirt and trousers as we moved.
Kael has little to no strength in his body, therefore him still managing to walk now was due to the fact that I was wrapping my hand around his not only tall but also broad shoulders, yeah, you can imagine how uncomfortable that was for me as his weight was dragging on my shoulder, but I gritted my teeth and kept going. His breath was ragged, coming in short, painful gasps. I didn't need to look to know his wound was bleeding again. I could feel the warmth of it seeping through my sleeve.
