Two weeks had passed since Elias inherited the Ice Phoenix Flames. Even now, the Academy didn't know the identity of the person who inherited the most prized possession of the previous Dean.
The Academy even increased the rewards to make the person come forward, but it was to no avail. The Inheritor didn't come forward.
In the Academy, there were a few students that had abilities which allowed them to control flames. Their greed made them come forward and declare themselves to be the Inheritor.
They thought that they could simply be accepted as the Core Student of the Academy and receive the growth stone after performing slight flame manipulation.
Even if they were caught lying, what was the worst that could happen? The rewards were worth the risk.
Their expectations were overwhelmed when the Academy expelled them outright after confirming that they were lying. Once enough of the liars were expelled, no one came forward to lie about being the Inheritor.
