"Senior?!" Elias called out, feigning concern, though he was already certain that she was dead.
He reached back and started searching. Soon, his hand brushed against the lifeless corpse. He carefully felt for the spatial ring on her finger and slipped it off, pocketing it. There was no time to examine its contents now.
He turned his attention back to the direction the arrow had come from, and noticed another speck of bright light. The numbers kept multiplying until there were hundreds of such light specks, shining like stars in the darkness.
"Is it really an inheritance ground, or an execution ground?" Astralious mumbled to himself, watching the hundreds of light sources getting bigger as they flew to them, leaving only a whistle of wind behind.
Elias grabbed the girl's body by the collar, and raised her before him. His physique was already smaller than the girl, which made his figure completely hide behind her.
