"Should I... interfere?" the guard asked, releasing a faint trace of killing intent.

Silas crushed the letter in his hand. It contained every bit of information about Elias's awakening and his performance in the test.

"There is no need to interfere in the matters of children. If either of them dies, then it's their own fault for not being able to protect themselves."

After crushing the paper, he tossed it towards the guard behind him. The letter started burning. It slowly turned to ashes just as the guard reached out to catch it.

"I will remember your words, my lord." The guard lowered his head, observing the last flicker of the flames as they consumed the letter completely.

"My Lord, the lady also received this news. With how much she loved the Fourth Young Master, she might do something about it."

He prepared to leave, but Silas spoke again. "Have you found any signs of Aliath?"

The guard gulped heavily. With a trembling voice, he answered, "None yet."
