Kael turned to look at Shiera, his expression a mixture of surprise and curiosity. "Your team?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "What's this about?"
Shiera, usually the more reserved one, wasn't backing down. She stood firm, her arms crossed, her eyes unwavering. "I don't want you out there alone," she said simply. "Even if you're stronger now, this world is still full of dangers that even you can't face alone. I can't just let you go off and end up getting killed. My team's been through worse, and we work well together."
Amanda, who had been the loudest in her opposition, nodded in agreement. "Exactly. Kael, your strength may be greater than before, but the world isn't going to just stand still. It's better to go with someone who's familiar with the risks, with experienced backup."
Melissa chimed in as well. "And we'd keep you updated, not to mention provide protection and resources. It's a better plan than wandering off into the unknown by yourself."
