Then came another kiss—soft and slow, trailing up the curve of her ankle. Her breath hitched as his lips brushed the top of her foot. The touch was gentle, too gentle for someone she called cold. A blush crept up on her cheeks, and her fingers curled into the blanket, not out of fear, but confusion.
What was going on? What was this strange feeling?
"Tell me," he murmured, his lips brushing higher now, toward her calf, "you don't feel anything."
Yan Rouxi's lips trembled. She couldn't say anything. Her voice had vanished. Her body was no longer her own. Her heart thundered in her chest, loud and wild, like it wanted to escape. Her thoughts scattered in all directions, her body warm and tingling in places she didn't even know she could feel.
