World building and power systems, [Must read]

Core Power Source:

AetheriumDefinition: Aetherium is the primal essence that forms all reality. Every being, object, and force contains a trace of it. Mages manipulate Aetherium through different channels, shaping it into magic.

Properties:Infinite but Unstable: Raw Aetherium is limitless but chaotic. Without a conduit (like a trained mind, a rune, or a ritual), it causes corruption or burns out the user.

Conduits: Each branch of magic taps into Aetherium differently — through symbols, willpower, natural forces, or even emotions.

Branches of Magic

Each branch has its own philosophy, techniques, and specialists:

Runic Magic – Power is shaped through symbols and inscriptions.

Subclasses:

Glyphforging: Crafting permanent enchantments.

Sigilcasting: Quick, temporary runes drawn in combat.

Blood Runes: Sacrificial runes drawn with life force for enhanced effects.

Heka – Magic through words of power and divine command (inspired by ancient Egyptian magic).

Subclasses:

True Naming: Speak the hidden names of things to control them.

Pharaonic Invocation: Borrow strength from forgotten gods.

Curseweaving: Bind misfortune and sickness into spoken maledictions.

Awen – The magic of inspiration and creation, tied to art, music, and poetry.

Subclasses:

Bardic Echoes: Songs weave spells into listeners' hearts.

Soulpainting: Paintings become real or trap souls within them.

Dreambinding: Shape dreams, even turn them into reality.

Siddhis – Derived from meditation and inner enlightenment. Power comes from transcending the physical self.

Subclasses:

Body Ascension: Enhance physical abilities to supernatural levels.

Mind Over Matter: Telekinesis, levitation, and more.

Voidwalking: Slip through planes of existence.

Kido – Structured magic based on numbers, geometry, and spiritual energy (inspired by Eastern mysticism).

Subclasses:

Binding Arts: Trap and paralyze opponents.

Destructive Arts: Energy blasts, elemental manipulation.

Barrier Arts: Create force fields and protective sigils.

Juju – Folk magic tied to spirits, ancestors, and natural forces (inspired by African traditions).

Subclasses:

Spirit Binding: Enlist the aid of minor spirits.

Hexcraft: Plagues, curses, and bad luck.

Bone Divination: Foretell the future or glimpse hidden truths.

Theourgia – Magic by channelling higher beings (angels, gods, eldritch entities).

Subclasses:

Divine Conduits: Become a living channel for a deity's power.

Celestial Invocation: Call on angels and star beasts for aid.

Abyssal Pacts: Bargain with dark, forgotten forces for forbidden magic.

Race-Specific Magic

Some beings have exclusive, inherent magical forms:

Druids (Druidic Magic): Channel Aetherium through the natural world — plants, animals, and the elements.

Example: Treecalling, Beastmelding, Wildshape.

Orcs: A rare gift among certain orc bloodlines — they manifest anything they imagine into reality. The stronger their willpower and belief, the more stable the creation.

Drawback: If they doubt their creation even slightly, it crumbles.

Dragons (Draconic Arcana): Ancient, instinctive magic tied to their essence. Each dragon type has unique abilities:

Fire Dragons: Flame manipulation and heat absorption.

Sky Dragons: Control wind, weather, and lightning.

Void Dragons: Warp space and time around them.

Celestial Beings (From the cosmic forces): Draw power directly from stars, moons, and astral phenomena. Their strength rises and falls with celestial events.

Example: Meteorcall, Solar Wrath, Lunar Veil.

Advanced Magic ConceptsHybrid Casters: Some rare individuals master two branches, blending them into a new discipline (e.g., Runic Siddhis — carving runes into their body to enhance physical abilities).

Corruption: Drawing too much raw Aetherium without a proper conduit causes mutation, madness, or worse — transformation into a Voidspawn, a creature of pure entropy.

Aether Wells: Rare places where Aetherium pools in the physical world, empowering anyone nearby — but they're unstable and attract powerful creatures.

The world of Archon of the Shadows is vast, filled with countless wonders and mysteries. However, I'll focus only on the events that have unfolded in the story so far.

World Size: The world itself is several times larger than the sun, making it an immense and boundless realm.

The kingdom that Valion serves:

Kingdom Name:Valdyros Imperium

Description:

The Valdyros Imperium spans an entire continent and stretches into neighboring realms, housing over nine billion citizens across diverse terrains—towering crystal cities, subterranean arcologies, and floating sky bastions. At its heart lies the Ebon Spire, home to the High Council of Aetherion, a circle of legendary strategists, mages, technocrats, and warriors. Their combined power, influence, and mastery of both arcane and scientific forces has earned Valdyros the undeniable title of the Strongest Kingdom.

Its crest bears the symbol of the Eternal Phoenix, representing rebirth, power, and unyielding dominance.

THE COUNCIL MEMBERS OF THIS KINGDOM:

Thragmor: the Hammer of the Heavens

A colossal figure standing nearly ten feet tall, Thragmor is a living fortress of divine might. His armor, blessed by the Goddess of Blessings, radiates a soft, golden aura that shields allies and scorches the wicked. But his true mark of power lies in the weapon he bears: Solaris, the Celestial Hammer once wielded by the omni-god Lunariath during the Great War. Forged in the Empyrean Forge, Solaris channels starfire and divine judgment, capable of cracking mountains and dispelling darkness in a single blow.

Thragmor is a very cocky and pride full man, he seeks to fight anything that is strong jsut for the thrill of it

Zyrenith: The Arcane Eclipse

The most potent wielder of magic in the council, Zyrenith is an enigma cloaked in robes that ripple with cosmic energy, resembling constellations drifting across an endless sky. Her magic draws not from mortal channels but from celestial cosmic forces, allowing her to bend time, reality, and even death at will. It's whispered that she has glimpsed the End and the Beginning—and returned with secrets only she understands.

Little is recorded of her past, and none dare to probe. Her presence alone distorts the flow of aether in the chamber.

Valebane: The Godly Knight

Once a mere soldier among millions, Valebane ascended through battlefield brilliance, unwavering honor, and a will that never broke. Now titled the Godly Knight, his armor gleams with a radiance not of this world, as if forged from crystallized light itself. Though his sword has yet to be named, it is said to cut through illusions, lies, and even destiny.

He is a symbol of unshakable resolve, his reputation forged not by sorcery or bloodline, but by sheer merit and valor.
