Another officer walked into the room. He had a scowl on his face when he said, "You have the right to call someone from your family." Ethan stared at me and then jumped up. "Where is the phone?" The officer rolled his eyes and said, "Follow me." We got up and followed him outside.
Ethan wasn't sure if this was true, since Nicholas wouldn't risk us calling our family after kidnapping us. Is there something going on that we don't know? Ethan leaned closer and whispered, "I don't trust the officer."
I nodded in agreement with him. "I agree with you. I don't trust him either, but let's try our best."
"I don't know who to call," Ethan said. "I don't want to cause my family any harm." I understood. "I don't have a family either," I said and raised an eyebrow.
"How is that so?" Ethan asked.
"Will you two hurry up and call someone already!" the officer shouted.
