"This is going to be a success," he said while he held my hand. What I love about him is the fact that he knows how to display affection. I love me some romantic man. I never knew he had it in him.
My phone rang in my pocket. I checked the caller ID, and Nicholas was with me. He watched me as I stared at my phone. It's Ethan. I knew better than to give out a reaction. What if Nicholas finds out that I have Ethan's number? He'll suspect something. I had to act normal than usual.
"Who is that? You're not going to pick up?" he asked, concerned.
I shook my head and dumped the phone back in my bag. "I don't think it's worth my time for now."
"You sure about that?" he asked, and I nodded. "The only thing worth my time is you, and that's on period."
He had a smile on his face. "I think I love the sound of that. I'm not complaining."
"As it should," I said and hugged him from behind. He rubbed my arms while we watched the election.
