Chapter 1 - THE SEVEN CHAIR

PROLOGUE

In a dark, silent room lit only by a hanging bulb, seven chairs form a perfect circle. Seated in them are seven figures cloaked in mystery, their faces barely visible in the shadows.

Mr. One broke the silence.

"Should we begin our plan with the seven nations?"

Mr. Six leaned forward, his voice calm but hesitant.

"We need more time—for proper preparation and flawless execution."

Before he could finish, Mr. Five slammed his fist on the table.

"You fucking loser! Still not ready? Moron. Racist bastard."

Mr. Three smirked, backing Five up with a nod.

Mr. Four raised his hand.

"Calm down. You all know the situation in the country he's controlling. It's not that simple."

Then, without warning, Mr. Zero spoke.

"Put the coffee down."

Silence fell like a blanket. Every eye turned to him.

With a cold, final tone, Mr. Zero continued:

"We move forward with the plan. No delays."

The room stayed still. Then, without another word, the meeting was dismissed.

PLANET: EARTH

YEAR: 2220

A thousand years ago, rifts began appearing across the world—strange dimensional cracks that tore through the sky. From them came the creatures known only as Devils, bringing devastation and death. But in the face of destruction, humanity discovered something within themselves: power beyond imagination. Power that defied science. Magic that defied logic.

The war raged for 300 years. Earth was a battlefield.

Then, at last, the rifts were sealed. The creatures pushed back.

The world called it the Doomsday War.

But peace didn't last.

Genetic shifts triggered by the war gave rise to a new breed of humans—each capable of wielding terrifying abilities. And as power grew, so did greed. Countries fell. Governments collapsed. The world became ruled by strength alone.

CHAPTER 1: The Rift Collector's Sons

Seoul City, Korea

On the outskirts of Seoul, far from the towering spires and neon lights, lived a quiet, happy family.

The father—a humble Rift Collector.

The mother—a devoted housewife.

And their two sons, separated by two years in age.

The older one: Kim Ji-ho, calm and protective.

The younger: Kim Ye-jun, curious and kind.

Rift Collectors were among the few brave enough to venture into the remaining rifts—dangerous realms still pulsing with devil energy—to retrieve Devil Stones, the most powerful energy source on Earth.

That night, everything changed.

Ji-ho and Ye-jun were walking home after a birthday party. Laughter still echoed in their minds when they reached their house—and froze.

The door was wide open.

They ran in.

Blood.

Their parents... lifeless.

Their mother still reaching toward them, eyes frozen in fear.

Their father—barely alive.

With shaking hands, their father pressed something into Ji-ho's hand—a small glowing pendant.

"Run... Take your brother... Don't let them find you..."

Tears filled Ji-ho's eyes as he nodded, grabbing Ye-jun's hand and running out the back.

He quickly called his father's best friend, explaining everything—except the pendant.

"Where are you?" the man asked.

"Wait there. I'll come."

They were thirsty and shaken, so they stopped by a convenience store.

That's when the men arrived.

Dark suits. Cold eyes. No words—only intent to capture.

They ran.

Heart pounding, Ji-ho led Ye-jun to the police station, hoping for safety.

But as they explained the murder, no one listened.

Then he saw it.

A police officer, whispering into his phone, glancing at them.

Too calm. Too polite.

Ji-ho's instincts screamed.

He grabbed Ye-jun's hand again.

"We need to go. Now."

Before they reached the door, black SUVs screeched to a stop outside.
