I froze in the doorway, my fingers tightening around the handle. My breath hitched, and my pulse pounded in my ears.

Kathrine.

She was lounging on my bed like she owned the place, one leg draped over the other, fingers idly toying with the hem of her shirt. There was something almost lazy about her posture, but her eyes… her eyes were sharp, locked onto me like she was waiting to see what I'd do next.

"How did you get in here?" I hissed, my voice barely above a whisper, terrified that someone—Alex, my parents, anyone—would hear.

She tilted her head, amusement flickering in her expression. "You need to start locking your balcony door."

My stomach twisted. My balcony.

I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly dry. "You need to leave."

She didn't move. If anything, she seemed to be enjoying this—watching me, knowing she had the upper hand.

" Your fake moans called me." She announced.
