Asuriel's hours at the Lounge were reduced upon Vaerion's request to Evelyn, so she had yet another day off… and once again, Vaerion was gone.
The devil was forthcoming with her and told her he would visit the Infernal Depths a few times a week to try and find his father's research. He offered to bring her along, but Asuriel didn't feel ready to descend to the underworld yet. She could tell that if she went in her current state, she'd be more of a liability than anything.
But that meant she was alone and, left to her own devices, wasn't sure what to do.
The fuse on her lifespan was only getting shorter, so she couldn't stand the idea of staying idle while Vaerion did all the heavy lifting.
"Little Star," Kismet addressed her affectionately, returning her to reality. "Why don't we go for a walk? Perhaps you will be inspired."
"It's dangerous," Asuriel frowned, vividly remembering Vaerion warning her not to leave the house unattended.
