She frowned as she asked, "What are you saying?"
He replied with a loud voice so that she could hear him clearly, "He won't help me, and he won't help you because he is bitter about being taken advantage of by you."
She slumped in her seat and sighed. Her eyes were downcast as she said, "I know that he hates me. I didn't care in the past because I didn't want to belittle myself."
Then she looked at him and said, "I did like him. I cared a lot for him. But I have to admit that I took advantage of him, so I didn't have the guts to continue to act shamelessly by chasing after him."
