As soon as Grey agreed, Cedric swiftly put plans into motion. The arrangements were meticulously organized according to Grey's specifications. Once everything was in place, Grey, Charlotte, and the two 2-star mages climbed into a carriage, dressed as common merchants.
This carriage, although less opulent than the one used by the town lord, still bore the town's crest—a black horse with a shield beneath it. Everyone on the mission wore simple merchant garb, designed to make them appear harmless and inconspicuous—nothing about them should betray their true identity as mages.
With the preparations complete, they set off towards the neighboring town that had been scheming to take over Cedric's. The carriage jolted forward, its pace quick and steady, as they sped out of the town and into the unknown.
