Mo Han screamed, dodging one of the beasts ferocious bite that nearly snapped his head off.
He ran for his life, his heart pounding so loud it drowned out the roars behind him. But they still chased him fiercely. One looked like a huge black wolf with horns, the second one was a three headed snake, another one was a boar.
They were all demonic beasts aiming to have a chunk of Mo Han's flesh. But Mo Han was not giving it them easily.
Even when his whole body was roaring in pain, he never stopped running.
If he finally had a second chance at life, how could he just roll over and die? He had still not seen the beautiful women of this world and seen the demon Queen the book talked about.
But his greatest fear was the fact that he would still be alive while he was being torn apart and eaten.
"What kind of System are you! Aren't you suppose to keep me alive! You have not even introduced who I am"
Mo Han didn't know if he should laugh or cry. Looking at the blue screen in front of him, he could only bite down on his lips and increase his pace, with a strong roar.

The little fluff ball was no where to be found no matter where he looked.
Mo Han cursed under his breath. The system didn't even give him a chance to breath, one minute he is in his room and the next he is thrown into a death trial with no weapons.
No plan. How could he even think when the beasts wouldn't even give him breathing space no matter where he tried to think.
"OKAY FINE! I BELIEVE YOU OKAY! I WILL TAKE THE DAILY QUEST SERIOUS"
He began to lose his body, no matter how many times he pushed forward.
Until he finally screeched to a stop, a great wall looking back at him. It was a dead end.
The beast creeped before him, baring their teeths, as if they were sneering at Mo Han for being his prey. Mo Han swore he could hear them mocking him, but it was just his own anxiety fueling the illusion.
He turned around and faced them, pasting his body against the solid wall. Then all of a sudden they lunged forward opening their huge mouth quite ready to gobble him up, Mo Han twisted his face to the side bracing himself for impact.
His eyes closed and his breath held.
But seconds turned to minute but nothing happened. Mo Han thought it was weird, maybe he had finally died and returned to the underworld and not the game. Did he perharps die without no pain?
He peeled one of his eyes open, and found that he was back in his room, the realization came pounding on his lungs and he started panting for his dear life. His clothes were in shreds, his body was covered in bruises and cuts that no longer bled out.
But the most important thing was that he was still alive.
Mo Han blinked, his mind struggling to catch up. He touched his face, then his chest, then his---
"Wait, I am not dead?"
He sat up from the floor, as a sudden wave of happiness consumed his whole being, he let out a choked laugh and scrambled to his knees, pressing his forehead to the ground in a deep kowtow. "Thank you heavens, system! Thank you for sparing my useless life! I promise I will never slack off."
He would definitely slack off, but hey, he did survive, so a win is a win.

The little fluffy ball lazily said after materializing out of thin air. When Mo Han set it's eyes on it, he glared down at it, blood boiling with rage because it was this particular ball that had been playing with him since he arrived in this world.
"Are you done playing with me?" He fumed.
[Play with you? While it was fun to see you torn into shreds, I was merely acting on what the system wanted]
The little fluff ball shrugged, but it didn't calm the anger Mo Han was feeling.
"Then have you gotten what you have been searching for?" He shot back agitated and the little fluff ball chuckled and snapped it's fingers. A blue screen materialized right in front of Mo Han, and he lazily gazed at it.
[Relax, we were merely testing if you were suitable to be in this world. After all, it was only the tutorial, even the quest board would be tweaked.]
Hmmm. Mo Han squints his eyes at the screen in front of him, it was displaying his information. Something he had been waiting for, but was equally disappointed to see, except when his eyes finally settled on something worthy.

The fluff ball gestured towards the door, and at the same time, a fair maiden walked into the room with a basin and a towel in her hands. Mo Han quickly scrambled off the floor and sat on the bed, straightening his back.
He didn't know exactly what he was meant to do, but he couldn't trust the system. And he was very curious.
