Chapter 168 - CH: 167 Meeting without knowing each other

{Chapter: 167 Meeting without knowing each other}

Alice looked at the armed men standing before her, her expression unreadable. Among them were faces she recognized—people she had fought alongside, people she had seen die in the Hive. Even Carlos was there. But she knew the truth. These weren't the comrades she once knew; they were clones, mindless enforcers of the Umbrella Corporation.

William took a step forward, his confident smirk never wavering. "Jill, Terry, I have to say, your welcome is quite... special. I'm touched."

Jill's expression remained blank, emotionless. Terry, on the other hand, narrowed her eyes. "Who the hell are you? I don't know you."

Jill's voice was as cold as ice. "Surrender or die."

William let out a low chuckle, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Damn, I like your tone. The Umbrella Corporation really has some advanced technology, doesn't it? You don't even recognize me."

Jill didn't waver. "You talk too much."

William raised his eyebrows. "Alright, alright, too much talking. I get it. But when the time comes, don't expect any talking from me either—just action. And I'll show you exactly how much 'doing' I can do."

Jill and Terry leveled their guns at him. In unison, the rest of the armed men followed suit, their fingers tightening around their triggers.

"Five seconds," Jill stated coldly. "Surrender or die."

Without hesitation, William raised his hands. "I surrender."

Alice shot him a wary glance. "What are you trying to pull?"

William's grin widened. "Surrendering. But that doesn't mean I won't have a little fun along the way. Let's just call it... controlled chaos."

"Fire!" Jill commanded.

The night was instantly shattered by the deafening roar of gunfire.

Alice reacted instantly, pulling Becky close as she and Ada darted for cover inside the house. The White Queen, ever resourceful, had already taken refuge in the shadows.

Meanwhile, William remained unmoved, watching the bullets streak toward him. At the last possible second, they halted mid-air, spinning rapidly in a tight orbit around him.

"Boys, didn't your mothers ever teach you?" William mused, watching the bullets twirl like deadly fireflies. "You really shouldn't go around shooting these things so recklessly."

Jill's expression didn't change. "Get out of the way."

William merely smirked. With a casual flick of his wrist, the bullets reversed their course, slicing through the air like homing missiles.

"Aagh!"

Screams erupted as seven or eight soldiers crumpled to the ground, their own bullets having found new homes in their bodies.

William turned away as if the massacre was of no concern to him. Walking back toward the house, he casually shot Jill a thumbs-up behind his back. "You guys keep playing. I'll sit this one out."

"Damn it!" Jill hissed. "Fire everything!"

The armed men obeyed, unleashing a fresh storm of bullets. The house trembled under the onslaught, its structure weakening with every impact. Debris rained down, the walls riddled with holes.

William remained calm. "Alice, get the little ones out of here. They're too fragile for this. Ada and I will handle things on this end."

Alice, her twin submachine guns spitting lead, hesitated only for a moment before nodding. She knew better than to argue. "Becky, White Queen—stay close. We're moving."

She cast one last glance at William. "Be careful."

With that, she turned and led the two girls through the back door, disappearing into the night.

"Dad!" Becky called out, her voice filled with worry.

William touched his nose, chuckling softly. "Alice, you've changed. You almost sound like you care."

"Team B, advance!" Jill barked.

"Team A, move in!" Terry followed.

Gunfire erupted again, this time more relentless. Ada pressed herself against a stone pillar, returning fire in calculated bursts.

"I have to admit," William muttered, watching the bullets swirl harmlessly around him. "This is getting a bit repetitive. Jill, Terry, for every bullet you fire today, I'll return tenfold."

Outside, Terry hefted a rocket launcher onto her shoulder. The missile locked onto the house.

Boom!

The explosion tore through the night, consuming the house in fire and debris.

William barely had a second to react before he lunged forward, grabbing Ada and shielding her with his body. The force of the explosion sent them sprawling. As they hit the ground, William couldn't help but note how soft Ada felt against him.

it was time for the hero to save the beauty, and pressed Ada under him. Her breasts were so big, it seemed to be bigger than Su Yueming's.

Bigger than Su Yueming's, he thought absently. When we get back to the villain space, we're stripping them both and comparing. Hah!

Boom, boom, boom...

The house was blown up, and a small mushroom cloud rose into the sky.

300 meters away, Alice turned to look back. The flames reached toward the sky, painting the night in hues of orange and red.

"Mommy, where's Daddy?" Becky's voice trembled.

Alice swallowed hard, gripping Becky's hand. "He's fine. I promise. You'll see him again."

"Really?"

Alice forced a smile. "Of course. I'd never lie to you. Now, come on, we need to move."

"Yes." Becky nodded.

The house, no, there is no house anymore, only the dark, bumpy foundation, and the remaining flames are still burning.

At its center, William lay motionless atop Ada. He made no effort to move, savoring the warmth of her beneath him.

William was lying on Ada motionlessly, just like he was dead. Of course, he was definitely not dead, but he felt so good lying on Ada that he didn't want to move at all.

Ada didn't expect that in the dangerous moment, this man actually used his body to protect her and save her life.

Ada, catching her breath, stared at him in disbelief. "You... You protected me."

He didn't answer.

Concern flashed across her face. "Hey, William! Wake up!"

She pushed against him. When he didn't stir, she slapped his face hard.

Jill and Terry, leading their squad, approached the ruins cautiously. "No need to waste your breath," Jill remarked. "He's dead. If you don't want to join him, surrender now."

Ada looked up at the barrels of multiple machine guns aimed directly at her. Trapped, she slowly raised her hands.

"Restrain her," Jill ordered.

"You know," came a voice from below, "for someone who's supposed to be emotionless, you sure talk a lot, Jill."

Every gun turned toward the source of the sound.

William opened his eyes and slowly sat up.

Ada exhaled sharply. "You're alive."

"How... How is that possible?!" Terry stammered.

William chuckled, his expression darkening. "Terry, my dear, 'impossible' is just a word people use when they don't understand something."

"Shoot him!" Jill commanded.

Gunfire erupted once more, a ceaseless stream of death aimed at William.

But as before, the bullets never reached him. Instead, they halted mid-air, suspended in a deadly, spinning dance.

William's eyes glowed ominously. "Everyone except Jill and Terry... die."

With a flick of his wrist, the bullets reversed, screaming through the air toward their original owners.

Screams filled the night as chaos unfolded once more.
