If one had a ton of Positive Karma, they'd find themselves randomly winning the lottery or surviving disasters that should've been fatal.
On the other hand, if someone had a sea's worth of Negative Karma, they might just wake up one day and find themselves not in their bed but falling off the side of a cliff!
But for those powerful and knowledgeable enough to properly utilize Karma, it was one of the most valuable things one could obtain.
For example, if a very influential Faction in the Ascension Tower were to recruit a person with high Positive Karma, the entire Faction's luck would spike upward. Contributing a lot in major events also granted a Faction large amounts of Positive or Negative Karma.
This was why so many different Factions and itinerant beings were so interested in the Nexus Event of Humanity's 0th Floor.
