Chapter 107 - memories

As we walked back to the cave, the silence between us was comfortable, filled with the sound of dripping water and the soft rustle of unknown creatures in the darkness.

My father's pace was slow, but determined, and I matched my steps to his. The weight of his words still lingered in my mind - "Your power is growing stronger, Tharros" - and I felt a sense of pride and responsibility wash over me.

We finally reached the cave, and my father gestured for me to sit down on a nearby rock. I did as he asked, feeling a wave of exhaustion wash over me. My father sat down beside me, his eyes scanning my face with a mixture of concern and curiosity.

"Let's get you rested up, Tharros," he said, his voice soft and soothing. "We'll start your training soon, but for now, just rest." I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. I closed my eyes, letting the sound of my father's gentle breathing lull me into a deep sleep.

As I drifted off to sleep, I felt my father's wing wrap around me, a warm and comforting presence that I had grown accustomed to over the years. It was a habit of mine, one that I had developed as a child, to sleep under his wing whenever I felt scared or overwhelmed. My father would always make sure I was safe and protected, and I knew that as long as I was under his wing, nothing could harm me.

As I slept, I was vaguely aware of my father's gentle humming, a soft melody that seemed to vibrate through his body and into mine. It was a soothing sound, one that I found calming and reassuring. I felt my father's warmth seep into my bones, and I knew that I was exactly where I was meant to be.

The sound of my siblings' chatter and laughter filtered into my dreams, but I didn't stir. I was too comfortable, too safe, under my father's wing. I knew that when I woke up, we would begin my training, and I would learn more about my powers and how to control them. But for now, I was content to simply rest, surrounded by the people and the love that I cherished most.

I watched over my son, Tharros, as he slept under my wing. His chest rose and fell with each gentle breath, and I felt a sense of pride and love wash over me. He was growing stronger, his powers developing at an incredible rate. I knew that he would one day be a great force for good in our world, and I was determined to help him learn to control his abilities.

As I gazed at Tharros, I couldn't help but think about the challenges that lay ahead. Our world was full of dangers, and as a powerful being, Tharros would be a target for those who sought to do harm. But I was confident in his ability to overcome any obstacle, and I knew that with my guidance, he would become a powerful and wise leader.

My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of our other children playing and laughing in the distance. Lyriath, Vyraxys, Nyxoria, Lyrixa, Kaidorix, Kieraxys, and Niamon - each of them was unique and special in their own way. I smiled, feeling grateful for the gift of family and the opportunity to watch my children grow and thrive.

As I continued to watch over Tharros, I felt a sense of peace settle over me. This was what it meant to be a parent - to love, to protect, and to guide. And I was grateful for every moment I had with my children, including this quiet moment with Tharros as he slept under my wing.

I thought,'I love my little boy. Always sleep under my wing. He is so cute when he does that.'

As I gazed at Tharros, I couldn't help but smile. His peaceful expression and gentle breathing were a soothing balm to my weary soul. I wrapped my wing around him a little tighter, feeling a sense of contentment wash over me. It was moments like these that I cherished the most – just being with my child, feeling his presence, and knowing that he was safe.

My thoughts drifted back to the days when Tharros was younger, when he would snuggle up against me and fall asleep instantly. As he grew older, he began to sleep under my wing less frequently, but whenever he did, it brought back fond memories of those early days.

I glanced around the cave, taking in the familiar sights and sounds. Our family was bustling about, each member engaged in their own activities. Lyriath was practicing his combat moves, while Vyraxys was busy crafting a new toy. Nyxoria and Lyrixa were playing a game of hide-and-seek, their laughter echoing off the walls. Kaidorix and Kieraxys were building a miniature castle, their faces scrunched up in concentration. And Niamon, our youngest, was babbling away, trying to get everyone's attention.

The cave was filled with the sounds of joy and laughter, and I felt grateful to be a part of this loving family. As I looked down at Tharros, I knew that moments like these were precious, and I would cherish them forever.

He may still be a 7 years old hatchlings, but he will always be my precious little boy.

The thought brought a warm smile to my face. I gently stroked Tharros's scales, feeling a deep sense of love and connection to this young dragon. He may be growing and developing his own abilities, but in my eyes, he would always be my little boy, precious and cherished.

As I looked at Tharros, I couldn't help but think about all the adventures we would have together. I would teach him everything I knew, from combat and magic to wisdom and compassion. And as he grew and learned, I would be there to support and guide him every step of the way.

My thoughts were filled with visions of our future together, and I couldn't wait to see the incredible things Tharros would accomplish.

But for now, I was content to simply be with him, to watch him sleep and to feel his gentle presence.

As I sat there, wrapped in my thoughts and surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the cave, I felt a sense of contentment wash over me. The sound of Tharros's gentle breathing and the soft rustling of his scales as he shifted in his sleep were soothing, and I felt my own eyelids growing heavy.

I leaned forward, gently nuzzling Tharros's scales with my snout, and inhaled deeply, taking in the scent of his youthful energy. It was a smell that was both familiar and distinct, a reminder of the bond we shared as parent and child.

As I pulled back, I noticed the soft glow of the cave's luminescent crystals casting a warm light on Tharros's face. His features were relaxed, his eyes moving rapidly as he dreamed. I smiled, wondering what adventures he was having in his subconscious mind.

My gaze lingered on Tharros, taking in every detail of his sleeping form. His silver scales glistened in the soft light, and his wings lay folded against his back, still and quiet. I felt a surge of love and pride, knowing that this young dragon was mine to care for and protect.

I look at Lyriath to Kaidorix, who are playing with their younger brother and sister, and I still remember when they and Tharros were still in an eggs.

The memory brought a nostalgic smile to my face. I recalled the days when Lyriath, Vyraxys, Tharros, Nyxoria, Lyrixa, and Kaidorix were all still in their eggs, vulnerable and dependent on Thyriatrix and me for everything. They had all hatched around the same time, with Tharros emerging first as the oldest. It was a time of great anticipation and excitement, as we waited for our little ones to hatch and begin their journey in life.

I remembered the unique characteristics of each egg, from the subtle differences in their shells to the distinct energies that emanated from within. Tharros's egg, in particular, had always seemed to glow with an inner light, as if the young dragon within was already radiating a sense of power and potential.

As I gazed at my children, now thriving and growing, I felt a sense of wonder at the passage of time. It seemed like only yesterday that we were welcoming them into the world, and yet here they were, already developing their own personalities and interests. Kieraxys and Niamon, our younger siblings, had hatched a few years after the older group, and they were also growing and flourishing in their own ways.

Niamon, our youngest, was still in the early stages of development, but even she was showing signs of her own unique spirit and energy.

I giggled. Remember my surprise when Thyriatrix laid 6 eggs, It was a magical day.

I chuckled, recalling the surprise and delight on my face when Thyriatrix laid the six eggs. It was indeed a magical day, filled with wonder and anticipation. I remembered the look of joy and amazement on Thyriatrix's face as she carefully tended to our precious eggs.

"Who would have thought we'd get six at once?" I said, still grinning at the memory.

Thyriatrix had smiled, her eyes shining with happiness. "I suppose we're just lucky," she'd said, gently nudging me with her snout.

And then, of course, there were the two additional eggs that followed a few years later, Kieraxys and Niamon. Our family had grown in ways we never could have imagined, and we were grateful for every moment with our little ones.

As I looked around at my family, now thriving and growing, I felt a deep sense of contentment and love. We had been blessed with an incredible gift, and we were determined to make the most of it.

Thyriatrix, sensing my emotions, wrapped her tail around me, pulling me close. "We make a wonderful family, don't we?" she whispered.

I nodded, feeling her warmth and love surround me. "We certainly do," I replied, smiling at our children as they played and laughed together.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over our cave, I knew that this was a moment I would treasure forever. Our family was full of life, love, and laughter, and I was grateful to be a part of it.

With a happy heart, I leaned into Thyriatrix, feeling our love and connection grow stronger with each passing moment. This was our life, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

And so, with our family safe and happy, I closed my eyes, feeling the warmth of the sun on my scales, and let the peacefulness of the moment wash over me.
