I stretched my wings, feeling the warmth of the sun on my scales.
It had been many months since the incident with Father, and our family had settled back into a comfortable routine.
As I looked around, I noticed that Mother was acting strangely. She was pacing back and forth in front of her nesting site, her eyes fixed on something in the distance.
I approached her, curiosity getting the better of me. "Mother, what's wrong?" I asked, noticing that her belly was significantly larger than usual.
She turned to me, a gentle smile on her face. "It's time, Tharros. The egg is ready to be laid."
I nodded, remembering that Mother had been pregnant for many months. Dragons' pregnancies lasted 463 days, and it was a significant event when a new egg was laid.
Father joined us, a look of excitement on his face. "Is it time, my love?" he asked Mother, his voice filled with anticipation.
Mother nodded, and Father gently helped her settle into her nesting site.
We all watched in awe as Mother laid a beautiful, shimmering egg.
The egg was a lovely shade of lavender, and it seemed to glow with an inner light. I felt a sense of wonder and excitement, knowing that a new sibling was on the way.
As we all gazed at the egg in wonder, Father turned to us with a smile. "Let's keep the egg safe and warm. We'll take turns incubating it until it hatches."
I snuggled up close to Father, feeling safe and content under his wing. "I'll help take care of the egg, Father," I said, looking up at him with excitement.
Father smiled, wrapping his wing tighter around me. "I know you will, Tharros. We'll all work together to keep our new sibling safe. And I have a feeling that our new little one will have beautiful lavender scales, just like their egg."
Pov Kieraxys
I gazed up at Father and Tharros, my big brother, with wide eyes. Mother had just laid an egg, and it was so pretty!
I wobbled a bit on my legs, but Father's wing was still wrapped around me, keeping me safe.
I looked up at Father and smiled. "Egg!" I exclaimed, pointing at the beautiful lavender egg.
Father chuckled and nuzzled me gently. "Yes, little one. That's your new sibling's egg. We'll take care of it together."
I nodded, feeling important. I was a big brother now, just like Tharros.
I looked up at Tharros, who was smiling at me. I smiled back, feeling happy and excited.
I snuggled up closer to Father, feeling safe and content. I couldn't wait to meet our new sibling!
Father chuckled "well Kieraxys you can play with your older siblings!"
I squealed with delight, bouncing up and down excitedly. "Yay! Playtime!" I exclaimed, looking up at my older siblings with a big grin.
Tharros, Lyriath, Vyraxys, Nyxoria, Lyrixa, and Kaidorix all smiled and welcomed me to play with them.
We spent the rest of the day chasing each other, playing games, and having the best time ever.
I was so happy to have such wonderful siblings and a loving family.
And with the new egg safely nestled in our nesting site, I couldn't wait to meet the newest addition to our family!
As the sun began to set, we all settled down together, exhausted but happy from our playtime.
Father and Mother smiled at each other, looking pleased with how well we all got along.
Tharros, being the responsible big brother he was, made sure we all stayed close to Father and Mother.
Lyriath and Vyraxys started telling stories, making us all laugh with their silly antics.
Nyxoria and Lyrixa played a game of "dragon tag", chasing each other around the nesting site.
And Kaidorix and I had a snuggle party, curling up together and watching the stars twinkle to life in the night sky.
As I drifted off to sleep, surrounded by my loving family, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this wonderful life we shared.
And I knew that with the new egg on the way, our family was only going to get bigger and better.
I snuggled on my older siblings while Tharros slept under Father Wing like always
As I drifted off to sleep, I could feel the gentle rise and fall of Lyriath's chest as he breathed, and the soft rustle of Vyraxys's scales as he shifted slightly.
The warmth and comfort of my siblings' presence enveloped me, making me feel safe and loved.
In the distance, I could hear the soft sound of Father's gentle humming, a soothing melody that seemed to match the rhythm of my heartbeat.
Mother's gentle voice whispered a soft lullaby, her words barely audible but her loving tone clear as day.
As I slipped deeper into sleep, I felt grateful for this wonderful family of mine, and I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together, as a family.
