After exchanging greetings with the three young wizards, Ollivander rummaged through his shop, searching for the right wand. As expected, just like in the original tale, Harry Potter found the wand destined for him—a twin to Voldemort's.
As Harry held his wand, unable to put it down, the doorbell of Ollivanders rang once more. The group turned to see a pale-faced middle-aged man enter, dressed in an elegant robe.
Draco Malfoy immediately called out, "Father, I'm here!"
The newcomer was none other than Draco's father—Lucius Malfoy.
Lucius glanced at his son before shifting his gaze to Wentworth. With a single look, he recognized the young wizard before him—this was the same Hogwarts student Dumbledore had taken to watch the Quidditch World Cup the previous year.
"Greetings, Wentworth. A year has passed, and you've grown quite a bit," Lucius said with a polite smile.
Though he disapproved of many of Dumbledore's actions, Lucius Malfoy still feared the headmaster's power. And since the boy before him was clearly one of Dumbledore's favored students, the ever-calculating Lucius chose to express goodwill.
At that moment, Draco eagerly pulled Harry over and introduced him excitedly: "Father, let me introduce you—this is my new friend, Harry Potter! The Harry Potter!"
Hearing his son's introduction, a flicker of surprise crossed Lucius' face. He turned to Draco and said, "Well done, Draco. I'm sure you two will become great friends! Harry, about you..."
Just as Lucius was about to continue, Hagrid's voice suddenly boomed from outside, "Harry! Come see what I got ye!"
Harry's attention was immediately drawn to the large cage in Hagrid's hands. Inside, a majestic snowy owl stood proudly, its pure white feathers gleaming.
Hagrid certainly had a talent for choosing magical creatures. Even Draco Malfoy, who had seen many rare animals, was captivated by the owl.
Excited, Harry and Draco ran toward Hagrid, eagerly inspecting the owl in the cage.
Meanwhile, as Wentworth and Lucius nodded at each other in parting, Lucius suddenly called out, "Wait a moment, Wentworth."
Wentworth turned back, puzzled, and met Lucius' scrutinizing gaze.
Lucius approached slowly, his eyes assessing the boy before him. "I recall, Wentworth, that you once claimed to be from a pure-blood family. However, over the past year, I have inquired among all the pure-blood families in Europe, and none seem to have a young heir by your name. So, I'm quite curious—where exactly does your pure-blood lineage come from?"
At Lucius' words, Wentworth felt an immediate wave of irritation. However, his expression remained composed as he replied, "Mr. Malfoy, you seem very interested in me."
Before Lucius could respond, Wentworth continued, "But tell me, are you certain you've inquired among all the pure-blood families of Europe? What about the Grindelwald family?"
The moment Lucius heard the name "Grindelwald," his entire body tensed. His already pale face drained of the remaining color, as if all the blood had been drawn from it.
Seeing his reaction, Wentworth smirked slightly, as if playing a mischievous trick, and stated clearly, "Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Wentworth Grindelwald."
As he spoke, Wentworth extended his right hand toward Lucius.
Lucius, in his shock, fumbled and dropped his cane. Hastily, he grasped Wentworth's hand with both of his own, his voice filled with reverence, "Lucius Malfoy. An honor to meet the leader of the Pureblood Party."
"Since you're here, then last year's incident at the British Ministry of Magic..."
Before Lucius could finish his sentence, Wentworth withdrew his hand and said coolly, "Yes, it was the work of our Pureblood Party. Mistakes were made, and those responsible had to face consequences. Or do you disagree, Mr. Malfoy?"
Lucius shook his head vigorously. "Of course not! I believe you were absolutely right! I have long thought that certain individuals in the British Ministry of Magic are unworthy of their positions."
At that moment, Draco returned and, seeing his father and Wentworth deep in conversation, curiously asked, "Father, what are you and Wentworth talking about?"
Lucius immediately straightened and reprimanded, "Draco! How could you—"
Before he could finish, Wentworth interrupted smoothly, "Your father was just asking me to look after you at Hogwarts. So, you'd better listen to me, Draco!"
Lucius paused briefly, then nodded with a satisfied smile. "Exactly. That's what I meant."
Draco, however, pouted in protest. "But I—"
Lucius' face darkened instantly. "What? Do you have a problem with what I just said?"
Seeing his father's stern expression, Draco quickly relented, "No, not at all! Wentworth is already my friend, and now he's my senior at Hogwarts. I'd be happy to listen to him!"
Lucius nodded approvingly.
Just then, Harry's voice called from outside, "I'm going to get my schoolbooks. Are you coming?"
Draco's eyes lit up as he suddenly remembered something. Turning to his father, he said, "Father, today is Harry Potter's birthday. Hagrid mentioned that Wentworth has already prepared a birthday cake for him at home. I'd like to go—what do you think?"
Lucius first glanced at Wentworth, who was already heading for the door. After a moment of thought, he nodded firmly and said, "Of course, you should go. But remember to bring a proper birthday gift—it's a matter of etiquette. Don't bring shame to the Malfoy family."
"Also, tomorrow, you will travel to the station with Wentworth and Harry. Your mother and I will meet you there with your school supplies."
With that, Lucius retrieved a stack of Galleons from his coat and handed them to Draco. He then watched as Wentworth and the others left Ollivanders.
