Thanatos started walking away, he only said that they would change locations not a destination. Marco couldn't help but sigh when he saw Thanatos strolling away humming a tune.
He stood still staring lifelessly at the causal god, he knew that he already wasted quite a bit of time finding him. He was now contemplating whether or not this trip was worth while.
Seeing Thanatos ignoring him while continuously strolling away he couldn't help but sigh again. Deciding to see where this was going Marco stride forward then walked side by side with the mysterious god.
They walked in silence for a good minute, feeling awkward Marco wanted to start a conversation but fell silent when he looked at Thanatos. The god had a gentle smile on his face while watching the goings of mortals.
As he felt Marco's gaze he started talking, "Do you know what I enjoy the most in this world?" Thanatos threw out that question while still enjoying their stroll, he clearly wanted Marco to think but was surprised by his answer. "Seeing as how you are taking your time to slowly watch the coming and goings of mortals i think it's quite obvious." Marco spoke while gazing at the sky, he looked like a old man reminiscing on his past as he spoke.
"You like seeing them enjoy their lives, am I wrong?" Thanatos looked at Marco, his smile growing wider while nodding. "Yes, I enjoy watching them." he fell silent after speaking and went back to watching.
"Why do you do" Marco asked curiously, honestly he wasn't expecting an answer from the man. He seemed too engrossed in watching, his reply didn't disappoint.
"Good question, but that is something you need to find out for yourself. Either way I did promise training didn't I." Thanatos said as he looked Marco in the eye.
Marco smiled and nodded, this reply on made Thanatos smile gently. "I must warn you, what you are about to experience might be too tough even for gods to handle.... Do you still want to continue?"
Marco didn't reply, but he didn't need to. His eyes grew pitch black and his face started to grow paler. Power was slowly bubbling from his being but he held back to not crush the city with his presence.
Thanatos smile grew, but now it turned monstrous as he saw Marco's face. He really wanted to fight the man that instant but knew that this was not the place.
"Good" Thanatos said while snapping his fingers, the moment he did the two disappeared from the city and appeared in a wasteland. The area was covered in sand, mud pits and souls.
The souls were all groaning about how they died and how they wanted revenge. The wasteland was littered with these disembodied souls wandering and stalking the lands.
The most surprising thing was that there were monsters present to keep these souls in line. A massive fifty meter tall three headed hound was glaring at the wasteland. Keenly watching the area to make sure everything was running smoothly.
"I see that pup is still stoically doing it's job well." Thanatos couldn't help but laugh, he still remembered when he found the pup in a dune weak and injured. The moment when Thanatos smiled at the Cerberus it felt his look and gaze in Thanatos and Marco's direction.
Noticing it's master, its face lightened up and it charged at Thanatos, it tongue hanging out while it excitedly barked causing sonic booms sending some souls to oblivion.
