The once bustling mining school was now quite desolate.
Previously, there would always be people sitting on the railings of the bamboo corridor with wine, chatting idly, but now it was empty.
Fortunately, the lights were still on in the main house next to the stilted buildings. Though no longer filled with the sounds of dice being thrown, at least the dim light gave the mining school's 'ghost house' a touch of liveliness.

A sound like footsteps arose, and someone with a bowl of wine and walking with a crutch came out of the main house.
The person was startled, and Tian Lin couldn't help but froze too.
Looking at the fattened figure missing one leg and leaning on an iron crutch, Tian Lin almost didn't recognize the identity of the Second Steward: "Second senior brother? You—what happened?"
