Ye Shikai chose not to kill a Main God for several reasons. First, the strength of Main Gods was relatively formidable, not easy to deal with, and most had Divine Artifacts in hand. Second, killing to establish power was merely to deter others from underestimating oneself. Third, the relationships between Main Gods were intricate and complex. As a newly ascended Main God, Ye Shikai did not wish to immediately become the target of collective animosity.
Now, an excellent target had presented itself – strong, yet deserving of a beating, the one sticking his neck out, Nakamura Shogo, was just the right candidate for making a statement through violence.
"Anyone else?" Ye Shikai said coldly, "Is there anyone else who dares to defy me now?"
