Mountain Eagle woke up to find himself lying on a hospital bed, with ice packs tied around his ribcage, shoulders, and abdomen.
A beautiful nurse with big wavy hair was changing his blood transfusion bag. Upon seeing Mountain Eagle open his eyes, she exclaimed in surprise and turned toward Miss Tessa, who was sleeping on the sofa, shouting, "Miss Tessa, he's awake..."
Like being electrified, Tessa instantly sat up and rushed to the bedside, looking at Mountain Eagle's somewhat pale face, she said, "You're awake!"
