A buyout would mean Natsume would have no further connection to the game.
These companies were clearly eyeing the potential of the new game, hence their early interest.
Kazuya nodded. "I thought the same. Only two companies proposed a revenue share."
"Piplup Inc. wants to buy out our entire studio for 5,000,000 Pokémon Coins, with a 5% performance bonus."
"Devon Corporation is offering 2,000,000 Pokémon Coins for the overseas distribution and mobile game rights, plus a 20% revenue share."
Natsume was momentarily stunned.
Typical of Piplup Inc.
If they see a game they like, they just buy the whole studio!
"I think cash is the most reliable," Kazuya whispered.
"Should we go with Piplup Inc.?"
Natsume pondered for a moment.
Mobile games were the future of the market.
As long as they didn't shoot themselves in the foot, a high-quality mobile game could generate continuous revenue.
Besides, Natsume didn't have the energy to tackle overseas markets right now. Entrusting it to Devon Corporation seemed like a win-win.
"Let's accept Devon Corporation's offer," Natsume said after a pause.
