I wasn't really interested in the movie, but I forced myself to watch it. I was going to be another stereotype of love and romance in a big city. I had seen too many movies over the years, and I barely got excited about any of them.


But minutes later, it felt different. I was drawn to the screen, eager for the next predictable scene. It felt interesting with Diamond in my arms.


I watched the man lose the love of his life to an illness, then make a deal with the devil to bring her back. The deal said he would only have one year with her, and then his soul would be taken. He tried to make every day matter, but the woman was happy with a new life, pushing him to the side and searching for the next thrill.
