Chapter 3 - [ Chapter II (2): "GOING HOME— INSTANTLY" ]

[ Chapter II (2): "GOING HOME— INSTANTLY" ]

After an hour of explanation, and chatting. Felix, the charismatic Professor of Hogwarts and also the founder, and Headmaster of it could be seen walking outside the orphanage doors; a parasol in hand, and a smile to his face.

Behind him is the matron, Mrs. Carter who had fainted an hour ago, had the shock of her life— in many ways, fainted, and then reassured that everything would be alright.

In her hand is a flyer, [ HOGWARTS ] written in it, with details about the said school being on both the front and back; designed to mirror a 80s promotional poster even though it is the 21st century, still, it has its charm.

The stress and worry that have shown throughout her face have now been gone, a thing of the past, as she now smiles at the man— at the wizard, who she has gotten close too through their brief chat.

[ "Well, you have a lovely night Mrs. Carter; forgive me again for almost giving you a heart attack." ]

[ "Oh nonsense dear, I merely fainted." ]

[ "Still... Please accept my apology, I was the one in the wrong in the first place." ]

 [ "Apology accepted then." ]

Slightly bowing his head, and feeling guilty about what he had done before, Felix wouldn't forget about this awkward encounter amongst many other weird encounters.

Guess this one gave him a reason to push for the owl method rather than the break-in explain later method. Immediate as of now, we'll, when he gets back home and creates the owls.

 [ "Bye, Mrs. Carter!" ]

[ "Bye then, Mr. Harp." ]

Waving his hand one last time at the woman, he hopes dearly in his heart that the two students residing in her orphanage— under her care would become his future student, especially now that he dearly needs students to grow stronger, and most especially when he doesn't have one at the moment. All still pending.

Walking the cobbled street under him, Felix tried to not quicken his pace, but also not slow it, in an attempt not to make himself awkward— careful in his step, as to not walk like a drunk.

[ "Don't... Don't... Don't... Be awkward." ] He whispers to himself, to a tone he could only hear. Looking behind him one last time, to look at the matron, before disappearing from her point of view and reappearing somewhere else— with a loud audible crack that startled a sleeping cat awake that is.

The spell he has used is one of his favorites. A very difficult and pricey spell, which is also known as the handy Apparition spell. Less of a spell actually and more of a skill in wizard culture, but it is informally called as a spell, no incantation, no gestures— just thought, laced with intent to go from one place to another.

Which Felix did in the dead of night to go to somewhere else; somewhere which is opposite of night, somewhere where it is day— afternoon to be precise.

This place is on the other side of the world. Wherein his home is located, and also his school— Hogwarts.

With a loud crack, Felix in an instant reappeared somewhere else, instantaneously. This place being an alleyway just outside his school, he looked left to right, then right to left; in realizing that none spotted him, no no-maj did, he became at ease.

Don't be confused, he doesn't worry about them finding out his identity, as a wizard. No, he worries instead about them chasing him with pitchforks and with machetes; the place he apparated into is known as being the superstitious bunch, and they'll try to kill him if they find out, most likely.

So even though a secret government for the protection of wizards and witches' activities doesn't exist— none as far as he knows, he still became wary whenever he sets foot back in home base; but wherever else he goes, doesn't matter, that's why he blatantly apparated in the United Kingdom without care.

[ "Finally, home." ] Dusting away the dust and debris that have gotten on his clothes, Felix finally stepped out of the alleyway, parasol in hand with a smile to his face...

 [ "M-mom look!" ]

 Huh...?

Felix turned to the side and noticed a kid pointing at him, ice cream in hand, and no older than that of 6 years old. Someone Felix is keenly aware of, due to him being spotted by this multiple times whenever he comes back.

And not gonna lie, he finds it entertaining to mess with the child. With everyone around the kid, including his parents— the mother in this case, not believing him no matter what he does.

 [ "Adrian, stop pointing, it's rude." ]

[ "No, but, ma! T-that's the wizard I've been telling you about." ]

Felix smiles at the kid who's holding his mother's hand, being reprimanded by his mother who unbeknownst to her is telling the truth— in their local language that is.

[ "Good ev- afternoon Mrs. Santiago." ]

[ "Good afternoon too, Felix." ]

 [ "W-wizard!" ]

The child, Adrian pointed his fingers at him, which then earned him a slap in the hand; causing him to lower it. With the mother looking apologetically at Felix at that.

[ "Forgive the boy, he just believes that you're really a... You know, a wizard or something." ]

But, I am one, ma'am... Not that you should know about that fact, not yet at least.

Felix who's playing with a coin in his pockets could be seen smiling at her, and at Adrian who borderline admires and hates him. I mean, I don't know, that glare feels like the glare JJJ would give to a certain spider— oh, wrong universe? Erase then.

The coin in his hand, a penny he found when visiting the states, slowly turns and morphs into a small sunflower— with him pulling it out and giving it to her.

 [ "Don't worry ma'am, I've already done." ]

[ "Oh and, uhh- flowers for the lady." ]

 [ "W-wow... Thank you." ]

 [ "No problem ma'am." ]

 [ "S-see ma, magic!!" ]

 [ "Shush." ]

He watches again as how Adrian tries to prove that his a wizard, who can use magic, but still gets shushed by his mother seconds later. One of the reasons why Adrian's mother doesn't believe whatever the hell he says, is because of this.

To the neighbours, and onlookers, whenever Adrian does this, try to say that he can use true magic— then he'll just have to do magic... As simple as that, but mask it as street magic.

Wherein it really isn't magic, but is instead a slight of hand, props, or illusions— but in his case it really is just magic hiding behind street magic— not too extravagant, not too grand, not too complex, but is instead simple and would leave people guessing as to not make them realize that he is really a wizard; just like what the kid says.

 [ "Good chat ma'am, then I'll be going." ]

 [ "Alright, bye Felix." ]

[ "But mom, he is really a wizard...!" ]

He walks past the kid, smiling at the mother, but grinning mischievously at the child. To him this is a hobby, no, actually this is akin to Thanos tormenting that one kid every year, on his birthday. Just less radical, but still fun.

It doesn't have to have a reason, it is just fun, so he does that whenever he sees the kid; and especially whenever he sees the kid's mother which is... Beautiful in his eyes— and thankfully single, to whatever happened to Mr. Santiago, he doesn't want to know.

 So that's that.

Whistling to himself, he greets the people passing by, kids playing around, and anyone that seems to know him— before finally the human activity lessens the more-and-more he walked the streets.

With him stopping near a dead end, and beside that said dead end is a decrepit building— an apartment that the building owner rented out to Felix for a small price, but ultimately after some talk, reason, and bargaining, he bought it.

And oh... This is Hogwarts; nothing other than the small clean plaque beside the doorway indicating that, the said place containing the word; [ HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF EDUCATION ] in it.

[ "Okay, now this is home..." ]
