Christopher immediately clapped his hands(inwardly ofcourse) appreciating Prince's thoughtfulness but shot another question a twisted one at that, "but the people of the A tribe didn't follow your thoughts and chose to let a few from the B tribe live What do you think they did that"
Prince was caught off gaurd by the question, he wasn't expecting the other side to do something like that. But somewhere his subconscious mind was telling him that this story was sounding a bit too familiar but ignoring the naging feeling he nonetheless suggested, "May be to satisfy their ego"
"Exactly. A tribe wasn't satisfied with just killing the B tribe members, it wanted to enslave them. It wanted to show them their place as they claimed. The victors continued to torment the poor people, Their cruelty towards the slaves paled in comparison to the B tribesmen. The tribesman endured it all torment, hatred, disrespect...., bid their time, increased their numbers secretly, strengthened their forces and then the day came when those tribesmen didn't hold back anymore.
With the help of the divine, they unleashed a revolt and it revolt was so large that the A tribe had to set them free from those bondage of slavery, but they didn't change despite letting them go. The repulsion they felt towards the stayed with the future generations and they still continue to look down on them."
"Fools couldn't contain them when they revolted and now they are trying to pressurize the B tibe down by constantly reminding them of their traumatic past" Prince muttered voicing out the dissatisfaction he felt with the outcome.
"Yes, that is exactly what's happening between your Empire and The Bihu tribe. The story I just narrated is the history shared by you two and here the A tribe is your Empire and B tribe is the Bihu tribe and this is what happened in the last century and the divine help I mentioned is the 'Stone of truth' that we witnessed in the past few days."
"You mean the shity people who just let go of their rivals instead of killing them that too in the the name of tormenting and ended up losing on top of that were my forefathers." Prince asked wondering how his ancestors could be this stupid.
'I am not surprised by his eccentric thinking anymore. I actually narrated a whole 100 year past history. Just to try and make him understand the importance of following their traditions in this ceremony but, this guy was actually stuck up on his forefathers mistake.' Christopher thought.
"Now do you you understand why it is important to follow their traditions in this ceremony."
I asked bringing him out of his thoughts and listening to my words he immediately shot back a question at me, 'do you mean the disaster the clan leader mentioned while showing the stone was actually the doing of the empire and it was actually a protection provided against us by the gods themselves" his question made me doubt if any of my previous words were registered in his head or not but I sill patiently answered
" yes and this is why there is a trust vacuum between the empire and tribe and now if your question is answered, Mark my next words carefully the reason I am following their culture is to get this thing in their mind that the people of the empire have moved on and now they view the tribes known as equals nothing more, nothing less and this is the most prominent solution that any scholar could ever provide you resolve the conflict that has been going on for the past century. Now you understand the importance of this event being held in their traditions, right?"
Prince carefully considered every word that came through my mouth and he nodded his head before saying, "I get it. But how did you know all of this? I mean, this is an information that was mentioned in the history of the Empire, but you never read it was this mentioned in the novel perhaps"
I agreed with his point but prince's expression was strange.
'This? Is strange. How come a novel describe everything in everything in sech a detailed manner, Do such novel exist in this world or for that matter in reality' Prince thought in his head but buried his question in the depths of his head.

their discussion continued for a longer time. Which they both didn't expect and Christopher could be seen setting in his chair inmobile his expression lifeless, Braska after not recieving a response from him for a long time saw his pale face and decided to call him out, but not recieving a response prompted him to shake Christopher.
Christopher surprised by the sudden act looked up only to find Braska looking at him his gaze filled with concern, seeing Christopher, blinking his eyes confusion etched his expression Braska answered an unvoiced question, "You didn't seem well and your body was cold, your expression was lifeless as if there was no soul in your body I called you but you didn't respond, so I had thought of moving you a bit thinking you would respond"
Christopher moved his gaze away from Braska and trying to cover it up said, "you were saying something and my head didn't register your words, so can you repeat them?"
Braska nodded his head and answered, "I was just informing you that, If you are uncomfortable with doing things according to our traditions then, we can just do everything in according to your traditions You already won the battle I mean you are the undisputed winner and winner has the right to choose. I mean you can choose to do everything according to your traditions and we are totally fine with it, that's how it has always being in our clan strength defines everything for us."
Christopher looking at the mirror and checking out his appearance answered, " I don't mind doing things your way"
