Chapter 46 - " Wut's Tap Out "

( Still in the morning, at Wut's House :;)

( In the dining area ):;

...Wut's eyes scanned the contents of the envelope, his heart sinking as he saw the amount due for the water bill: 1,500 THB. He immediately knew he had to call his mom.

He quickly grabbed his phone and dialed his mom's number. As he waited for her to answer, he heard the sound of a phone ringing... coming from somewhere close by.

Wut's eyes widened in surprise. He was standing in front of the dining table, and the ringing was loud and clear. He wasn't sure if it was his own phone or another one.

He cut the call, and the ringing stopped. But he needed to talk to his mom, so he dialed her number again.

The ringing started again, and this time, Wut was sure it was coming from the dining table. He looked around, trying to locate the source of the sound.

That's when he noticed the covered dish on the table. He lifted the cover, revealing a steaming hot plate of khao tom, a traditional Thai rice soup, topped with crispy fried shallots and fresh herbs. Next to the dish, his mom's phone sat, ringing away.

The screen displayed the caller ID: "Troublesome Boy". Wut chuckled, remembering that his mom had saved his number with that nickname.

He picked up his mom's phone, silencing the ringing. Then, he pulled out a chair and sat down at the table, holding the envelope, the bill, and his mom's phone.

He looked at the bill again, feeling frustrated. "First, the water runs out, and now Mom forgets her phone. How am I supposed to reach her now?"

Wut's head dropped onto the table, his face resting on the cool surface. He was exhausted, frustrated, and disappointed. His mom's phone and the envelope with the water bill still clutched in his hand.

As he sat there, he suddenly remembered his friend, SAK! SAK was one of the top members of their group, and Wut knew he could count on him for help.

Wut quickly sat up, his eyes scanning the room as he tried to shake off the fatigue. He looked at his mom's phone, then at his own phone, and decided to call SAK.

"SAK!" Wut shouted, as if saying the name out loud gave him motivation.

He dialed SAK's number, waiting for him to answer. When SAK picked up, Wut asked, "Hey, SAK, are you at home?"

Here's the revised continuation:

SAK replied, "Yes, what's wrong?"

Wut hesitated for a moment before responding, " I'm coming over to your house, I explain it to you later."

SAK's voice was calm and reassuring. "Okay, see you soon."

Wut quickly ended the call, but in his haste, he forgot his phone, his mom's phone, and the envelope with the water bill on the table. He rushed out of the house, locking the door behind him. He then quickly locked the gate and started walking down the street.

As he walked down the street, the warm sun beat down on his face. SAK's house was just a few streets away. The streets were quiet, with only a few people milling about. Wut walked quickly, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. He was looking forward to seeing SAK and getting help with his problems. Since SAK's house was close by, Wut didn't need to take any money with him.

As he turned the corner, SAK's house came into view. It was a simple, single-story building with a flat roof and a small front yard. The walls were painted a muted gray color, and the windows had plain wooden frames.

Wut had been to SAK's house many times before, and he knew the way well.

As Wut approached the house, SAK waited for him outside, wearing casual black jeans and a white top. His friendly smile was a welcome sight.

"Hey, Wut!" SAK exclaimed, as Wut walked up to the house.

Wut smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. "Hey, SAK."

SAK's expression turned concerned. "What's wrong, Wut? You sounded worried on the phone."

Wut took a deep breath as he followed SAK inside the house. "The water bill is overdue, and our water supply got cut off. And to make things worse, my mom forgot her phone at home before she left for work, so I have no way to reach her."

SAK nodded sympathetically. "That's frustrating. So, what do you want to do now?"

Wut hesitated. "Can I...can I take a bath here?"

SAK teased, "Oh, wow, Wut, So you know how to ask permission? , you don't have to pretend like it's your first time bathing over here "....
