Dr. Lunara File Report-Subject: 00128-A#4-After the discovered and capture of the whistle-blower Mr. Jacoby, he was placed into the NEMESIS Project, as a Test Subject instead of termination. Like all other Subjects of the tests, we grant them a recorder that is secured in the wall of each Subject private squatters, but Mr. Jacoby or as he'll forever be known, as Subject: 00128-A has provided unique views, and examinations on the Mutates. My suggestion is to use these logs for our observations and research on the NEMESIS Project, and future test-trails using these Mutates and possibly methods on controlling these creatures for the benefit of Barrow Corp.
Signed: Dr. Annabeth Lunara.
Name: Andrew. Middle-name: Marcus. Lastname: Jacoby. Designation: Subject 00128-A Former Proffesion: Tech-Support. Age: 33. Sex: M. Skin: White. Haircolor: Light Brown. Hairstyle: Short. Eyecolor: Deep Brown. Background: Once a young employee, that used to work for Barrow Corp. as a computer technical support, but after a couple of years, working for the Barrow in HAVN, he learn of all the awful things that Barrow has done to the people that they supposed to be helping. So he had to gather evidence against Barrow, and use to expose all the crimes that Barrow Corp. has been responsible for, but he was caught just moments when he was about to reveal everything. Instead of "silencing" him, they put him in the NEMESIS Project, and did to him everything that they done to the other poor victim, which includes extreme psychological tampering which robbed him of his name, hence he is only Subject: 00128-A now...
Log#00001 My name is...what is my name? It's true that Subjects, or as my fellow subjects call themselves Peons. Cause the people in their upper-levels use us, as sacrificial pawns for the horrors in the floors below. They said it sometimes help, to make these stupid logs to depressurize, but I'm still not sure on that...whatever, here I go...(clearing throat) I was apart of Barrow Corp. but after witnessing the atrocities that Barrow was doing to people, I tried to gather evidence to expose Barrow's crimes to the world...but...enough with this shit!! End of Log.
Log#00009 This is 128 or as fellow prisoners have been calling me, 2X. It's a custom going on that we call each other by the second number plus Roman numeral, some said it came from an old Subject, that used to be a history buff, he's was called the Professor...he's dead now. Anyway I'd like to continue from were I left off a weeks ago, soo I hope this actually helps...(clears throat)... This is 128 I tried to do good. I tried to expose these bastards crimes, only for Tony Bastita the head of security of this place, caught me and instead of killing me, which quite honestly would have been more merciful than this shit...(sighing)...but yet I'm still alive, trapped like everyone here, a test rat or lamb to the slaughter, the silenced me by forcing me into this nightmare...but strangely they don't try murdering me, straight up, instead I'm another Subject and must be treated as such, and eventually killed as such as well... End of Log.
Log#00021 I've managed to survive a couple of minor trails. Which usually involve a task while a Mutate is in the trail area...oh yeah, I've haven't talked about those things yet. Well when I'd work for these fucks, one of their most common victims of experimentation were broken, and mutated to such a degree that they can't be classified as human. So instead their designated, "Mutates" and instead of ending their suffering, Barrow using them, as attack beasts to perform other experiments or whatever these trails are, on us. I'd noticed that there are several varients, I've asked the vets, if anyone has any info or explanation on the various Mutates. But they all say no, maybe I should, at least it might help the newest Subject in survival odds. End of Log.
Log#00040 Let me talk about, Ashley Lane, or as the Peons call her the Receptionist. Is the woman, that works in the Commute-area, behind a special glass window, she handles giving the Subjects trail schedules, and information on them. While she a hot blonde, receptionist, she is caring which is ironic given the place were trapped in. Honestly I think she is another prisoner of Barrow Corp. trying to survive, look at me only took one mistake and I'm place in this pit of death. But whatever the reason Ashley is working in this hellhole, it's kinda comforting that there is someone that actually cares for us, and she even sends money to the other Subjects family members, and smugles some goods for us when she can. Receptionist, she should be called Saint, after all the shit going on here and still having a soul... End of Log.
Log#00075 The incent involving a crazy Subject bastard designated 01330-J, also called DJ or better said what he wants to be called, I can understand hating what those Barrow bastards, want to brand us but...DJ took it to the extreme. This caused a lot of problems between us Peons, and also brought down the guards sadistic wrath on us...(yelling, smashing noises)...that fucker... Whatever DJ is more of a menace to us, than Barrow, so about that "incident" while trying his latest escape plan, he broke a pipe of the weird "Red Gas" and flooded the whole damn Commute-area!!! This cause a crazy hallucinations, for everyone I swear I saw a shadowy figure, admist the chaos, but those guards sprayed me and I woke up from the trip...regardless I heard that Barrow, taught DJ a painful lesson. (Chuckle) Couldn't have happened to a better asshole. End of Log.
Log#00096 In a incident that happen in the HAVN by DJ...who else. While these bastards were performing another test, possibly on ALPHA-ONE...being a former Barrow employee, I managed to uncover something and even see Barrow's favorite pet monster. Since DJ, tried to escape again, using the test to set ALPHA-ONE loose, he was probably killed, and honestly I hope the bastard is dead. ALPHA-ONE killed a lot of people, and nearly killed me, if not for [REDACTED] one of the few "human" guards, saved my life and actually fought against the fucking monster!! Then as ALPHA-ONE was about to kill [REDACTED] the rest of the security guards came, and handle the situation...I hope [REDACTED] is okay, I honestly like the guy, and I owe him for saving my ass that day. End of Log.
Log#00117 I've been doing a lot of audio-logs, lately. Man, it honestly help with dealing with this shit, and I'm still surprised Barrow hasn't killed me or snitched on me yet. But the truth is that, I think the sick fuck, enjoy the sick things their doing, like taking our identities, experimenting on us, and watching us struggle and die on these so called trails. (Sighing) Regardless soon I'll be apart of another trail, and the Receptionist, said that the only trail I could accept was one with a group of ten other Subjects, and might involve going to the Haunting Grounds. I'd managed to avoid going down there, but I guess my luck ran out, I'll make some final logs, involving the monsters, called Mutates, and how to best survive against them, it might help the newest Subject, that hears these logs...I'll start soon, for now I need some sleep. End of Log.
Mutates are or were Subjects, that were tested upon with various NEMESIS Agents, to create the desired superhumans for PROMETHEUS. But all test before and after ALPHA-ONE's birth resulted in failure. Instead of creating superhumans with special abilities, and grand adaptability hence the creation of superhuman formula, called NEMESIS, these Subject were subjected to various varients of this formula, causing various mutation, hence the name Mutate. Mutate barely have any humanity left, more like animals or monsters with a thirst of blood, and extremely violent towards any human contact, but strangely they are obedient and docile in the presence of a ALPHA. Regardless up till now, ten confirm varients of Mutates, created by Barrow's actions and experiments.
Mutate Varients-Subject: 00128-A Reports Log#00118-Creepers: The most common Mutates, they still look human aside from losing hair, and getting pale skin. These poor bastards can still speak sometime but more repeating phrases more than anything, and they normally doing random tasks around the Haunting Grounds. I call them Creepers, cause of their looks and aggression against anything using makeshift weapons, and claws. Since they are the most numerous and common almost as much as Brutes, Creepers are the most used in fucked up experiments by Barrow, with various surgically attached gizmos and weapons to test out on us Peons. But aside from their aggression they can be quite easy to deal against, as long as their few to deal with. My advise smash anything on them or near them to be able to sneak around them, before they can swarm you and you'll might survive.
Log#00120-Brutes: One of the most common of these Mutates, when I first saw these things, while I still worked for this damn Barrow bastards. These Mutates are the ones that are most resembling "human" in appearance of these monsters with the exception if their great height, and musculature, they are really build in muscle. They extremely violent, and aggressive, the first time I was close to one of these "Brutes" as I decided to call them, are pure violence, using their size and fit to crush any human that comes in their sight. Barrow tested on them to have some method of control over this walking juggernauts, by surgically attaching metal plating on their bodies, and a special shock-helmet to provoke more aggression. These fucking bastards, made these extremely strong but slow monsters more vicious, but Brutes are quite easy to deal with, since Brutes are slow moving and they are weak in energy getting tired quickly, allowing anyone of us Subjects to run from them and survive.
Log#00123-Stalkers: In a trail I participated a long ago, me and several other Subjects had to survive that crazy crap in a flickering place. In there, a barely lite place I and the others came encounter with this Mutate. As I can describe it, it was very tall and long limb creature with little human traits aside from his hair, and chest with almost caved into itself, while it's elongated finger claws tapped the ground, as it also made clicking sounds. That's when J3 as we used to call him, made a noise and immediately turn to us, showing it face at us...God...it carved in eyes, enlarged ears, and has a wide mouth almost as it rip and unhinged with deformed teeth, a long tongue as it shrieked at us, we ran and that Mutate chased us, like a bat in the dark, it tracked, stalked, and killed couple of us, during that trail. Cause of that we named it a Stalker, clearly it was blind and very sensitive hunter, that able to hunt a victim with the slightly sound but that also the Stalker weakness, extreme sound can cause it to be stun, and sometimes with handling one of these Mutates, is there many points of sounds it can confuse Stalkers, and allow anyone to try to escape from these monsters. Despite the Stalkers appearance, their quite strong, and very quick, it's actually suicidal try to handle one of these Mutates in the dark, it is their element and silence is our...
Log#00125-Screechers: Screechers are a type of Mutate, that unfortunately I have a lot experience with them. The first time I encounter one, was before I was put in this hell. I saw some barely human creature, around 6-foot, long and large arm creature with some chunky legs, but the biggest and most noticeable trait is their mouth it can unhinge and almost reach their lower belly to unleash a ear-shattering scream that is agonizing, I've only experienced these Mutates screams once on a trail, I barely managed to get away before the Rippers that are normally around a Screecher attack. Aside from their screams, Screechers aren't really aggressive, or very active this monsters are more like sentries alerting other Mutates and monsters. I normally see them either wandering in a same path, or stay in the exact place surrounded by Rippers, whatever the case its best to not get close to them less you want to deal with other Mutates, starting with Rippers.
Log#00128-Rippers: These Mutates that I call Rippers, are a very unique varient. Always by the side of a Screecher, their small, short, humanoid things with pale skin color and bright white eyes. But what makes very creepy and extremely dangerous are their other traits, apart from being unavailably fast their agile fucks!! With razor-sharp claws, spikes, and fangs...even if these Mutates lost their lower jaws, they still have knife-like teeth and fangs from their upper-jaws. They normally just stay or follow the Screechers, soo if a Screecher is in a trail best bet a couple of Rippers will be there as well. While I don't know the reason these Mutates are always together, for sure know these monsters are deadly dangerous, once they lock on a prey, you can only hope your fast enough to get away.
Log#00130-Gorgers: Gorgers are a horrific kind of Mutate. Hardly resembling human in any way they mutated into monstrous behemoth, very fat and chunky horrors with a bloodthirsty hunger for all kind of non-mutate. Their hairless, and grey skinned monsters, which their weight forced them into down all four to be able to move. To kill and trap victims, they have huge mouths with rows of teeth and five pincers around the mouths, to grab onto a person and tear the Subjects into bloody pieces and chunks. The Gorgers while very slow and can hardly crawl through places, they make up with unbelievable strength and ravenous hungry. These Gorgers are awful, disgusting, and nearly unstoppable but thank of them being so big and gluttonous it easy to escape them, but those unlucky to be cornered...God, I think a shark frenzies are cleaner than what Gorgers do to prey.
Log#00131-Scavengers: These Mutates are very...special... I call them, Scavengers, cause of their skittish nature, preferring the darkness outside all manner of light-source, they hide allover the Haunting Grounds, as long as those places are dark. This same skittish nature, and dislike of light, making them aggressive against lightbulds, attacking them and all close to those lights, to regain their darkness. One time, in a trail I turn the light in a room, and I saw one of these Mutates, semi-humanoid with a long serpentine lower body, and sickle like arms, with pertruding mouth they attacked the light-source and me. But I notice that the dark skin of that Scavenger, burn from the light's contact, so the Scavenger was more focus on destroying the light, and letting me escape.
Log#00133-Hunters: Hunters. A very dangerous, Mutate varient. I never seen more than a single Hunter in trail. I saw one during a trail, the creature was hunched over with powerful reptilian like leg, and head, with large arms with three, long claws on each hand, they act like anti-social monsters, while the Hunter doesn't kill other Mutates, they prefer to be alone and wander around the area. But the moment that one of these awful Mutates, spot a person, they roar, lower themselves and blast forward in a great dash and once they catch a victim they tear into the person, and rip the head of poor bastard. Luckily while I dealt with one of these Hunters, I noticed that they can bank worth a damn, the moment they dash on, and any blow to the head leaves them dazed for a while. And how I know this? When one was chasing after me, I turned a corner and it couldn't slow down, and smash against a wall and for a while I stayed nursing it head, letting me escape. So trust me that's the only way to handle a Hunter, if your fast enough to make it out alive.
Log#00135-Lashers: These Mutates are very wicket looking, almost like a horror from outer space. They are tall, withered, armless monsters, with no eyes or lower jaw but a very, very long tongue, and twisted looking with some sharp spikes at the end. But what makes them dangerous is their tongues and shooting it out like a chameleon, wrapping around the victim's neck, both choking and cutting into the Subject, while being dragged to the Lasher as I named them. Apart from using their tongue as a harpoon, they can also attack with them like a freaking whip, hence me naming them as such. Lashers are surprisingly quiet, and sneaky bastards, preferring to ambush Subjects from behind either close or afar, I once almost got caught by one but instead it got one of the other Subjects that were with me at the time, which bring me to the easiest way to handle a Lasher...target their tongue, while dangerous it also very sensitive, I managed to save the guy, by crushing the tongue with something heavy, it shrieked...or did as close of shrieking as it could, as it let the guy go and ran away. The best way to handle Lashers, is to not tangle with them alone, cause prey is easier for them, to deal one at a time.
Log#00137-Hazers: The last type of Mutate, that I'd experienced are the ones I call Hazers. Hazers, are brownish almost raw flesh looking humanoids, with bulging sacks on their upper back, that Barrow personally experimented with in long periods. Some of the other Peons, say they were Subjects that while being experimented on they were exposed to huge amount to the Red Gas, which honestly I believe, especially after facing some of these Mutates. They are fitted with a special kind of gas-mask device or something, along with a metallic long wrist claw, since while aggressive theyre kinda slow and weak...but these sadistic fucks, decided to make them more dangerous than before!!! Hazers can be easily spotted, cause they constantly wheeze like they can barely breathe, and their main threat is that they can breathe out Red Gas, from their masked mouth, having the same affect as Red Gas, all-around the place. This make it easier for a Hazer to get in close, to kill the person, only using CURE can you recover, and also the CURE spray bothers them, making back off and giving the person a chance to get away from them.
