"Mike!"

Colson walked out of the restaurant and saw Mike chatting happily with a woman on the street. He called out with a hint of envy.

Mike turned around, said goodbye to the girl, and walked over to Colson.

Colson looked at Mike's face.

"What's wrong?" Mike asked in confusion.

"A lipstick mark."

Colson pointed to his lips.

Mike wiped it off casually, smiling. "What can I say? The people here are just too friendly."

"Did you finish your task? There wasn't anything weird inside, right?"

Colson nodded, then said, "Nothing strange. Just a photo and a few files. What could possibly be off?"

"Come on, let's grab a drink."

Mike looked toward a nearby nightclub.

Colson cleared his throat. "You're treating?"

Mike turned to him.

Colson said, "I'm just a worker, only getting a fixed salary each month with no commission. It's a tough life."

Mike waved it off. "Let's go, I'm treating."

Colson chuckled. "Well, thank you."

Mike threw his arm around Colson's shoulder. Just as he was about to speak, he felt a sudden chill in his arm, goosebumps rising on his skin.

"Huh?"

Mike paused, looking at his arm.

What's going on?

This feeling... it's bad.

Colson looked at him in confusion. "What's wrong?"

Mike turned to Colson. "Do you feel anything off?"

"No, not at all," Colson replied, surprised. Then, cautiously, he asked, "You're not backing out, are you?"

"Heh!" Mike scoffed, disinterested. "You? How much can you even drink? Let's go!"

The two quickly walked into the nightclub.

As soon as they opened the door, loud music and noise flooded out. They stopped for a moment before laughing and diving into the crowd.

After ordering some drinks, Mike and Colson sat in a booth, watching the crowd partying on the dance floor. The atmosphere was infectious, and they both felt an urge to dance.

Mike poured himself a drink and sipped it slowly, while Colson, after finishing his drink, headed toward the dance floor, joining the throngs of people.

Mike smiled as he watched Colson's back.

This guy… He looks so flashy now, he doesn't even resemble an agent.

But, as an agent, isn't there a point where you have to sacrifice your appearance for the mission?

Colson probably didn't receive any special training for this, right?

But judging by Colson's attitude…

Tsk. A mission like this should be out of his league.

Mike chuckled and put his drink down. He glanced at his arm, his expression turning a little odd.

That sensation earlier felt strange, and it gave him an unsettling feeling.

Could it be… that there really is something inside that box?

With that thought, Mike's eyes narrowed. He conjured a card in his hand.

Name: Byakuya Kuchiki

Character Description: Captain of the 6th Division of the Gotei 13.

Note: Handsome, that's all.

If there is something invisible after all…

Mike's hand shimmered as a ghostly figure appeared behind him—handsome, with a cold expression, holding a zanpakuto. It flickered and merged into Mike's body, disappearing into him.

In the dim lighting, the brief flash of the figure behind Mike went unnoticed.

Mike felt the spiritual pressure filling his body, the corners of his mouth curving slightly upward.

Now, all he needed to do was manifest the zanpakuto to fully unleash the power of the character, but that was obviously unnecessary for now.

His eyes glinted, and he looked toward Colson in the crowd. He then gasped sharply.

A white figure with long black hair stood behind Colson, its head lowered. One hand was resting lightly on Colson's shoulder, while the other was holding a pale-faced child, dressed only in a white cloth around his waist.

The two figures moved with Colson as he did.

If Mike hadn't seen the child, he might not have recognized the white figure. But with the child in tow, Mike immediately identified them.

Kayako, Junzo Saeki!

What the hell? Why are these two here?

Mike's mouth twitched.

But weren't they supposed to only attach themselves to those who enter the rooms where they once lived?

How did they manage to cross the sea and come here?

Could it be the box?

What is going on?

A series of questions raced through Mike's mind as he watched Colson dancing intimately with a beautiful woman. A subtle smile appeared on his lips.

It seems like tonight is going to be interesting.

Wait…

Colson's Law!

Whenever Colson travels, unexpected things are bound to happen.

So, what happened on the plane doesn't even count?

Is this what really matters?

He was careless. He didn't take precautions…

Mike's lips twitched, and for a moment, he entertained the thought of letting Kayako just take Colson away.

"Hey! Are you here alone?"

At that moment, a tall, stunning woman approached Mike's booth, eyeing him with interest.

Mike turned to look at the woman, smiling at her.

Moments later, Colson walked over, sighing.

He had been rejected.

As he saw Mike laughing and chatting with a woman, a sense of frustration grew in him.

In just this short time, Mike already managed to flirt with someone?

He admits that Mike is more handsome than him, but the difference isn't that big, right?

"Hi!"

The woman wrapped her arm around Mike's, greeting Colson.

Colson raised his hand and winked at Mike, saying, "You're quick on the draw."

Mike gave Colson a mysterious smile and replied, "You're even quicker."

Colson looked puzzled, raised his glass, and clinked it with Mike's.

Mike smiled as he took a sip, casting a subtle glance behind Colson before the manifestation power faded.

The mother and child were still behind Colson, though now… they were even closer.

"Cheers!"

The woman cheered, clinking glasses with Mike. After drinking, she leaned against him and gently blew a breath into his ear, whispering, "I'm feeling dizzy, I think I drank too much."

Mike smiled at her. "Sorry, not tonight."

He wasn't going to let Colson have all the fun while he just watched. It wouldn't do for Colson to form a little family with Kayako.

He wasn't someone who just stood by doing nothing.

Seeing Colson's worldview collapse would definitely be something to laugh at.

Hearing this, the woman was taken aback. She shoved Mike playfully, letting out a soft "hmph," then turned and walked away.

Colson watched the scene with confusion. "Mike, you..."

Sigh! Mike exhaled, saying, "How could I leave you alone?"

Colson, touched, raised his glass. "We won't stop until we're drunk!"

Mike smiled and clinked glasses with him. The two quickly finished their drinks.

Once they had finished, both feeling a bit tipsy, they headed back to the hotel they had booked.

Their rooms were next to each other. After entering, they exchanged goodnight wishes and closed their doors.

The moment Mike closed his door, a card appeared in his hand. Using a purification technique, his mind immediately cleared.

Mike tapped his chin and, with the second card, activated a mental scan ability. He closed his eyes and began to sense what was happening across the hall.
