Chapter 127 - Pillar of Flame, Extreme Frost And Apocalyptic Slash

Kurumi's bruises vanished in an instant, her body restoring itself to its previous state. But before she could even catch her breath, she instinctively darted to the side.

A freezing blast tore through the air, striking the spot she had just left. The temperature dropped sharply as a layer of ice instantly engulfed the area, the very air around it crystallizing. Had it connected, Kurumi would have been trapped in a prison of ice, and escaping it would have taken precious time she couldn't afford to lose.

After observing the attack, Kurumi shifted her attention to the attacker and she couldn't help but reveal a smile, though her eyes were still serious.

"Ara ara~, that's dangerous Shido-san." Kurumi said with a playful tone, though her voice carried a hint of fatigue.

Shido floated gently down in front of her while watching Kurumi. Behind him loomed Zadkiel, towering over the buildings like a silent guardian, its immense body casting a long shadow on the ground.

"Give up, Kurumi. You've lost." Shido shook his head and tried to persuade Kurumi. He knew she had already used a significant amount of Reiryoku in her battle with Kotori. She wasn't in any condition to continue.

"Impossible. Not until I've completed my objectives." Kurumi shook her head in rejection. She stared at Shido, now clad in a flowing green robe as delicate snowflakes danced around him. Then her gaze shifted past him, landing on the towering beast behind that had a terrifying appearance.

Kurumi know that it was the source of the attack that nearly hit her.

She then moved her gaze to both her side and saw Tohka, clad in purple armor and equipped by a great white sword ready to attack her anytime. Meanwhile Kotori who was on the other side still looked normal on the outside as she the blazing flame revolve around her. But inside, she was quite tired from the battle earlier and she felt somewhat weird feeling her emotion rising, yet, she ignored it for now since they are nearing the end of the battle.

The three Spirits now formed a tight perimeter around Kurumi, leaving her with no clear path of escape.

At this point, Kurumi had already abandoned the idea of capturing Shido. Her thoughts had shifted to finding a way to escape, but every option seemed impossible.

"Since, that's the case, I can only beat you until you wake up from your dream."

As he spoke, he signaled to Tohka and Kotori. They understood instantly, nodding in unison before launching their coordinated assault.

Tohka, as a close-combat fighter immediately charged towards Kurumi without giving her time to react.

At the same time, blazing flames surged around Kotori. Her halberd shifted, transforming into a massive cannon that began to charge with searing fire at its core. The longer it charged, the brighter and more intense the light became, illuminating the battlefield with a fiery glow.

Shido, too, began preparing his next move. He concentrated all the chilling energy around him into Zadkiel's mouth, forming a swirling mass, like a miniature blizzard, ready to be unleashed.

Tohka struck first, swinging her massive sword with blinding speed and overwhelming force. Kurumi was forced to defend desperately.

Kurumi noticed the actions of the siblings and she know that the two are probably using this time to use their killing move to defeat her.

With a swift motion, Kurumi lashed out with a kick, striking Tohka and sending her flying several meters back. It wasn't a decisive blow, but it was enough, enough time to activate her Angel.

"Zaphkiel! First bullet, Aleph!"

Without hesitation, she pulled the trigger and shot herself. In an instant she accelerated vanishing in a blur and flew away. Kurumi knew that she had no chance right now so she wanted to escape, but it seemed that Shido had already know her thoughts.

He moved in front of Kurumi so fast that he seemed to be teleporting, but in fact he just used Flash step that is nearly the absolute perfection.

Kurumi's eyes widened in surprise as Shido appeared in front of her, cutting off her escape. Gritting her teeth, she quickly raised her flintlock and fired without hesitation.

"Seventh bullet, Zaiyin!" Kurumi fired at Shido without hesitation. She was desperately trying to escape but it would also be good if she caught Shido as she escape.

However, Kurumi is bound to get disappointed.

Just as the bullet was about to reach him, a sleek black eastern sword materialized in Shido's left hand. With a slash, Shido deflected the bullet.

"Tsk! Annoying," Kurumi muttered, clicking her tongue in irritation. She attempted to ascend higher into the sky, but it was already too late.

Kotori's and Zadkiel's attacks were now fully charged, their power ready to be unleashed.

Simultaneously, Tohka had caught up, her sword raised high as she summoned a devastating surge of purple Reiryoku condensed into a lethal blade of destruction.

In that moment, time itself seemed to freeze.

"Megiddo!"

"Absolute Zero!"

"Haaaa!"

As Shido, Kotori and Tohka's attack came nearer, the area surrounding Kurumi became chaotic with a combination of extreme heat and extreme coldness. To make matters worse, Tohka's sword energy cut through the air like a falling meteor, amplifying the attack.

Kurumi watched the attack and something told her to run away as soon as possible. Her face turned ghostly pale at the sight of this incoming attack. There's no way she would be fine after receiving this devastating attack. However, she couldn't move her body at all even if she wanted to.

Kurumi could only stand frozen in place as the combined assault descended upon her.

A massive pillar of flame, a beam of extreme cold and an apocalyptic sword slash crashed down upon Kurumi.

Boom!

The impact was catastrophic. The moment the extremes of heat and cold collided, a deafening explosion erupted, tearing through the air. A blinding flash of light and shockwaves rippled outward, turning the sky into a chaos of fire, frost and arc of lightning.

Fortunately, the battle had taken place high above the amusement park, sparing it from the worst of the devastation. But the landscape below could only imagine the destruction if the fight had taken place on the ground.
