Aiden's POV
I reached down slowly, brushing my fingers over the stack of documents beside her hand.
"Walk me through it."
Her eyes flicked to mine, wary.
"I don't need—"
"I didn't ask if you needed me." My voice dropped lower. "I asked you to let me in."
For a second, I thought she was going to shove me away—cut me out the way she always did.
But then—slowly, reluctantly—she exhaled, sinking down into the leather chair behind the desk.
She grabbed one of the folders, flipping it open between us.
"The Callahans have been siphoning money through Knight Corp subsidiaries for months," she murmured, all business again. "Fake contracts, inflated invoices, offshore transfers... all funneled back into their own shell companies."
I scanned the pages, my pulse ticking higher with every number.
"How the hell did they get this far without anyone noticing?"
"They had help." Her jaw clenched. "Inside help."
My stomach twisted.
The Knights were already rotting from the inside out.
