Lane sighed, once again schooling his expression before turning around.
"What do you want?" he snapped, not even trying to sound polite. Or to act sarcastic. He was in no mood for that, and had no time.
Not affected by Lane's attitude in the slightest, Miles simply responded, "We need to talk."
That never bode well.
"Well, then have fun talking! I'm out." Lane turned around on the spot, ready to walk away…
But how could it be so easy? Miles clearly meant business this time. Thus, a wall of green flames flared up in front of Lane, blocking his way.
Using abilities in an unauthorized way? A common Allen trait! One of the few that Lane would (begrudgingly) admit he also shared.
However, lax with the use of his abilities as he usually was, he couldn't use any right now, not in front of Miles. Showing even a fraction of his power would ruin all of his efforts, all of those years in hiding. So, he had no choice but to stop, and turn around to face the man once again.
